I didn't have to work out how to do it, as mine was all intact (most of the stuffing towards the exit of the silencer was still pure white and looked like new). That's what made it such a pain in the arse to fit back together again, as it wasn't nice tight unexpanded stuffing at the end above.

Smiley posted a couple of pics in the thread the General Discussion that showed how he's done it:-

Ok exhaust is back on and full of wadding as for that clever way ..... No It was a case of wrap up the perforated tube in wadding then try and locate it in the exhaust not a easy job to do then I put More in before putting it all together the pipe which runs at angels makes this job a royal pain in the ass I also found out why my fuel gauge wasent working the ceramic plate wasent located low enough, so I put it back, tested it and it worked I then convinced my self that I would need to take it out again to make it more secure I then snapped the ceramic plate so tomorrow I will be putting a other fuel pump holder thing in and hopefully things will be good

I also forgot to mention after SC the car my oil consumption has gone down, if anyone could explain this it would be appreciated, and the engine runs a lot smoother and dosent knock anymore,

It was so easy it was embarrassing to call it a self map. The hardest part is working your way around the software ( which is also quite easy) I have next to no knock throughout the rev range I would strongly recommend it even though I never gone the other route, Me and JT are going to compare Dutch V courtenays soon, we are both running same pulley but john has a better manifold, My torque is massive from 3k revs

Sounds great. It's a matter of when not if I get it. Just need to collect all my parts.

The biggest advantage is yet to come, Because I've re packed my exhaust I'm going to map it again, so it's still running perfectly

Chill When you have done the fuel I would recommend you run a knock session if you have not done this yet.

I'm going to remap tomorrow afternoon followed by knock session and ignition Will be interesting to compare maps after the exhaust re-pack Im also going to do a log session as Peter has contacted me and asked me to send him a log so he can give a once over for me, And also to see if my injectors will allow me to raise the rev limiter .

Chill Don't go over 7200 on std valve springs. I would stick to 7000 with a SC as JJJ saw valve bounce on his track car at high rpm.

Ooh and on track I managed 101 miles on a 32 litre tank and a 20 litre jerry can, leaving just enough fuel to get to station so around 48-50 litres 101 miles So that's 2.1 miles to a litre Not very impressive 2.1x 4.4 = 9.3 ish miles to the gallon

I did 7.8mpg in mine, the last time I measured it on track. Wouldn't be much worse if I stuck a scrwdriver through the bottom of the tank on the way to the track.

Did you have any more problems with the oil from the driveshaft?

Spotted my car at 6:20 in your vid
