Thanks Chris uk for confirming that I can get the exhaust off without the clam off, that will save me about of hassle. Chris Chilli, I have had a bit of a Google and i take it is a 2bular exhaust, they appear to be the best out there, just trying to use what I've got, so will pack the silencer, blank off one of the tips and take it to Oulton for a static test and see where I am. The other issue is I really want to drive it to work on nice days but I work shift and leave at 6am and I definately can't do that now as its far too loud and don't want to p*ss off the neighbours. Exhaust cut open again
Not much left in there and even some of the wire wool has gone

Posted Image

So took it somewhere local to have the back box re-skinned
However after speaking to them they/we decided to make new box
And to make it re-packable and I should be able to access it from the wheel arch

Old and new

I see they copied the resonance chamber design at the entry?

the chamber is not fully open to the main flow its more perforated rather than just completely open and its repack-able on the end cap.

the perforated are large

seems to tick over better with this box

Looks good, much better to be able to repack, as it looks a ball ache to chop out and re weld. Is that picture opened up showing what was left in it? As it looks like it's empty. Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

How many track days did your wire wool and PTX survive before you noticed the sound increase?

When I was on the phone to Tullet I asked about the wire wool wrapped round first and they said that the manufacture (thermal velocicty) don't recommend using it, as it kind of superheats the wool and makes it worse. So I'm not sure what is the best way? Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

Hi Chris, I ordered my wider wheels and tyres like yours which where due at the end of the month but I've been on the phone chasing up and one of the rear wheels failed its casting tests and so they won't be making any more for 4-6 weeks....... They have been back on the phone and said that they can get some 17x9s with an et35 rather than a et 30. This pushes the wheel further into the arch, which means I'll need some spacers. So do you think I will just need 5mm to get back to et30 or 10mm after your experiences on track? Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

also worth mentioning the wire wool is heat treated wire wool
