I was always under the impression that you use the softest tyre available for sprinting.

Yeah your right soft is better I underestimated the availability of old stock r888 tires which are E marked When I'm buying again I will be looking harder
Did you try Adams and Page, I got some from there and they did a deal as they couldn't get rid of them

I just cut my rear mud guard down on the inside, looked the same from outside but I had to bond a fixing point on the inside of it to be able to attach. Also watch out for the handbrake cable on the inside, I think the N/A routing is different but on the turbo I had to tie wrap it out of the way.

Wont going softer increase the dynamic camber change the car sees and increase the grip in the inside wheel? (Nev gave a much better explanation of this a few pages back).
How much roll do you get now? If you want to stay on those springs could you change the static set up of the rear geo to get more grip without body roll? (less rear camber for example).
*these are questions from someone very rusty with suspension set up since my motorsport days.

if your going to give me more grip im going to exploit it which is not going to help the inside wheel as im thinking its going to lift the unloaded more ??

I guess that depends on how much the grip difference is between the two wheels when you roll. At the moment the differences sounds high, because you can spin the inside wheel. If you increase body roll to take advantage of the grip increase on the inner wheel from dynamic camber change it may increase it more than that of the outer wheel. I would guess the grip difference wont stay the same as its based on a number of factors rather than being a set ratio.
You could always try putting your front ARB on soft as a quick fix? Although would you notice with the spring rates you run?

If I go stiffer springs the car should have less role and inside wheel should have better grip ??
Not necessarily, less roll can have the effect of lifting the inside wheel off the ground and reducing overall grip across the axle. This is probably what is happening now.

this is turning it to a nightmare
i need to get a test day in somewhere trying various spring settings and see what it brings

Would a rear arb not make it worse? I have the ep 1" front arb and my inside front wheel sometimes lifts off the road. Wouldnt a rear arb do the same to the inside rear?
