Standard splitter test for sufficient strong splitter mounting: stand and walk on the (edge of) the splitter when it's mounted. If nothing tears out/breaks then it's OK.
Similar for rear wing mounts. You have to be able to sit on a plank that's connected to them without them buckling or things breaking off.
Aero loads can be quite significant and should not be underestimated.
Bye, Arno.

If the splitter can take 100kg at top speed it'll be spread across the whole length and through all the fixings. Standing on it and putting 100kg through a specific part isn't ideal. Saying that, I stood on the front of mine 😂

It uses all 12 fixings of the under trayHow is it suported at the front? Also attached directly to the crashbox??
The under tray is still there for support and the fixings.
So it' has the 3 fixings in to the ally tub ( furthest back ) , it's has the three fixings either side of car can be seen through wheel arch towards front of car ( crash box )
Then there is the other 3 more central fixings in to the under tray through clam
It will eventually have to frontal struts fixed between fog light and grill ( may need more support unless I can pick up crash box again )
I'm not yet sure what else it will require
Any ideas or help appreciated
