make sure you put some massive spreader washers on the inside of the clam and try mount them as far forward as you can.

Mine is fitted like that and in the centre section attached to the crashbox through the 2 bottom tow-eye nuts. It can use some more support on the corners, so thinking of using some internal metal wires to attach them also on the crashbox top sides...

Chris, I had to fit my splitter to my crashbox using large washers & shaft shear bolts (just in case of a frontal impact). Obviously, make sure its level.

Hopefully get some more time this coming week to secure everything up

I've found some handy holes of the crash box ( which can be spotted through the mesh at the top ) if you look carefully. Might need to make a few brackets but will be great I'm sure.
Still waiting for my struts

Do you happen to have measured the gap between the splitter and the ground please Chris?

Will measure it tomorrow nev
I suspect it may hit the floor on heavy breaking, the clam previously used to get very close

If it hits the floor you will stall your diffuser.. you dont wanna be doing that.
Will be testing at the national
Might need heavier springs or some skid. Lock to make sparks

What I found was the ride height made a massive difference to it's effectiveness. At 12 CM gap between splitter and tarmac it had almost no effect, at 9 CM gap it had a bit of effect, but at 7 CM it had a huge effect.
The problem being, having a 7 CM ride height for the road is just crazy. And as you say, nose dive under braking will cause problems unless your front springs are immense.

You could consider making fences under the bodywork to stop air going into/out of the wheel arches. Most people don't both with this, as it's not "cool looking" for their mates to stare at in pub car parks, but in practice it's just as important as the splitter itself. You can make them out of stiff rubber sheet so they can flex out of the way if the car heels over too much to cause rubbage. As usual the closer to the ground you can get them the better and consequently non viable on a road car, otherwise I would have made some myself years ago.
