Can also be done in the car...

But what's the point. You need to press in the new sleeve and then machine them which you can't ezactly do in the car.

Nop, the GM sleeves come pre-honed to factory spec bore and only require a top trimming to a little above the deck. (there's a small cutter in the toolkit for that purpose)

Search for GM part 88984129.

(Wanna borrow our GM toolkit?  :happy: )

Going to get stuck in tomorrow brakes need bleeding and I have also new pads have glazed .

Will also have to fit new arch linear and it should be almost ready to drive again,

It's set up for 16/17 That's why a ripped the arch linear out because I ran the 17 all round for the charity do but ended up going balls out.

Unsure 2.2 at moment, But I have had second thoughts because the internals in this engine are better than I fist thought

Don't think engine capacity is really limiting factor with these engines, you'll get a faster revving engine as a 2.0 and higher rev limit. If you look at the GM build book they take is from 2.2 to 2.0 for that very reason.

I would stick with 2.0l personally rather than messing with a new engine and all the extra cost involved. Just fit cams the 4-1 manifold and you should be good for 300bhp and 7200 rpm according to what others have said.

You will get less torque, but it will rev higher

Hi all just stripping my donor bottom end down and I have come to a stop because I can't get what I assume is the crankcase and block to seperate has anyone got any tips Thanks in advance chill
