Ok i set out today to get a full fuel learn session in but things did not go to plan,

went for a short drive with scanguage connected just to check a few things out with the tmap sensor and afr

just to confirm all is well and it was so things started well.

decided to do a fuel learn session but i could not under any circumstances get my laptop to talk to my ECU so after dissconecting everything squirting all the connections and trying again still no joy. I put my scanguage back in to see if all was well with that it wasent,  sh*t my heart sunk looms and ecu failure went through my mind,

after diconnecting the scanguage again i noticed one of the wires from the obd port had broken off so out came my soldering iron with me upside down in the footwell burning every finger with a lot of blood in my head after a hour or so i managed to get the connection remade only to notice the one next to it had broken off to so a further hour or so i managed to get this sorted at this point i was not 100% if this was my original problem so i connected up scanguage again to see if it worked

It seemed to take a long to to connect but it did so i reconnected the obd lead an my laptop and tested i held my breath NO i didnt work. So i went to connect up the scanguage only to notice a other broken cable at this point i was pissed.

so i made a cup of T

and then got back to it repaired the wire and all was good everything talking to everything else as it should.

so i warmed the car up and did a good logging session for Peter to have a look over everything

only to get a little more bad news

rather my fuel pressure is wrong or i need bigger injectors (currently on the 470 blues)

im at 90% at 6700 RPMs

so i need to check my fuel pressure does anyone no how to do this and what equipment do i need to check it??

so to round up the day it was terrible nothing achieved, loads of problems, and potentially a fuel pressure problem or i need bigger injectors.

can anyone give me any idea of how much power the blue injectors should produce ??

fuel pressure check is easy I got a kit off ebay, about £30 http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c3b64e2dc only thing I had to do was extend the hose so I could check the pressure while driving what power you putting out again? I ran 320bhp with 470cc ones but I had the fpr modded slightly by CMS

Up to 370isch, but that is when spraying at 100%.

Peters philosophy is that the ecu does not know the difference between 90% and 100%, and is just fully open as from 90%.

That is why he likes injectors that top at 90% max at the full rev top.

Sounds like a nightmare Chris. I wonder if they were on the way out when we were having issues connecting? When funds allow get a cheap secondhand netbook for car only use. Not surprised about the injectors thought you might start maxing them out. It shows the engine is breathing well though. What were the intake temps like?

Sounds good as it was quite mild today. The better engine breathing may be helping intake temps.

Sounds like a nightmare. I take it your running vxr injectors now? Might be worth upgrading to the Siemens injectors or borrowing a set and trying to see if that's sorted your problem.

Does this mean when the program says your at 100% duty cycle you only at 90% and if so what is the reading when you actually at 100%

The walboro pump is shit and i'm absolutely convinced it can't supply required flow rate for a 430 let alone a 600+

Has also to do with the "dead time" of dynamic injector switching. Until it jumps to 100% continuous on.

Just keep 90% as abs. maximum, better 80% on full swing.

I'm running the next size Walbro pump on mine so might be worth considering if yours is falling.

Intake temps were just above 60 degrees today it's the hardest I've worked the car since engine change.

Is it not easier to map a car on a rolling road in a more controlled enviroment
