Chris, you've got the power so now get the other areas done. It means spending ££££ but once you have, you'll own one great car. Pads IMO need to be pagid 14's on rear and 42's upfront. (More aggressive bite on rear to balance you out). Next some fresh brake fluid, nothing fancy, just fresh. Braded line will do little for performance, but 13 year old lines might be weaping or past their best. Full geo and corner weighting. You have several tuners up north (cornering force/ Phoenix motor sport). If you were willing to travel then Matt Bentley is the man of the moment. I'm currently spending near £3k with him on my NA. A little extreme but I want everything changed and rebuilt. You'll honesty feel like driving a new car once the geo is set to your driving style. This alone will correct your grip issues and help in braking zones. Which in tern will resolve them issues you felt you had. Tyres, IMO might be down to many heat cycles and miss use. However I wouldn't write them off just yet. All just my opinion. :)

I agree I need to spend a bit on setup and brakes I just need to decide what I want, and would like to run through some options

Happy to pm you the list I'm having done and what kind of prices each are. When I had my first sc Vx the geo was the one true upgrade that gave me control and performance increase. Once I sold that and bought the NA the geo was first on my list. After last years natinol it opened my eyes to what a propaly set uk car can do regardless of power. That's why I'm going all out on the NA currently and will add power afterwards. The increase in performance on your car is overwhelming your current set up. Different spring rates would be needed and damping to control the sudden kick your right foot gives. Ps. Geo's need to be done once a year IMO. Even changing tyres and tyre pressures will effect things in a big way.

It's not about numbers from what I've been told.

I meant the print out. Numbers are just that. So many other factors as Artic has said. All need to be considered as they all influence one another Springs, dampers, ARB, etc etc

You're a nasty piece of work Stu.

I've gone from quite a high powered tubby back to NA goodness and don't miss the numbers game. A properly setup car is the foundation of any good drivers vehicle.
