Chris, after having a pax with you at Croft my thoughts, for what they are worth are as follows:

Your engine is epic. I want one.

Your tyres saved you several times as you went off the racing line and got a bit out of shape. Nothing wrong with them.

I think your rear brakes locked up a couple of times but that engine of yours gives you such a high speed by the end of the straight it's understandable. Try changing the fluid and putting Pagid RS14s on all round.

A geo works wonders. My car is transformed after fitting the nitrons and federals then a geo.

What would help most in my opinion is looking at your driving. You need to be smoother with power delivery and braking, and look at your lines through corners. An hour with an instructor who knows the circuit would help you way more than spending £1000s on the car. If you backed off the go pedal 20% and focussed on how you put a lap together I think you'll find the issues you think you have with cornering grip and traction will disappear. You'll also enjoy it way more!

Hope this is taken constructively. That car of yours has the potential to be superb, it's not far off now.  :)

I've come away from circuits before thinking I have left a lot on the track ( time, not enough commitment ) this was not the case on Friday and wanted to find limits of the car and track which I did on more than one occasion I was also driving around a other problem with brakes but I have no excuses I enjoyed over driving the car and now that I have done that I can make steps with setup to iron these issues out, My main objective on Friday was to put the new engine through its paces which I did with only a minor issue which has turned out to be the dipstick passing a bit of oil, so you could say I've made more than my objective with the car to date, and also give me a idea which way I need to go with my setup, the extra speed of the engine has highlighted more issues with my setup and probably the way I was driving it didn't help but if I can drive the car as hard as I did on Friday and get a confident turn in without back end coming round followed by good corner speed I will be on it.

traction out of slow corners would be nice to The last thing I wanted to do is go for a geo not knowing the problems were So I should be able to give a good discribtion of what I want from a new setup

Or just a decent geo set up (and maybe more suitable dampers - not sure what's on it)

i think be gently with the throttle you have a fair amount of power now, the turbo car that in theory should have more issues putting the power down didnt in comparison

I've bought one, and have it fitted into a spare gearbox, but I won't be fitting it to the car for another month or two.

If your changing your toe links your best getting a geo too. Pheonix isnt far from you i dont think, take it there hes very reasonable with his prices. For brake fluid go get gulf competition rf1000, very very good stuff.
