I like cl, they feel nice and wear extremely well.. Or maybe they are just old and knackered.. Still have 10mm of pad left after 6 trackdays and 3 years of driving..

That is really good wear rates. How are they are brake dust? In answer to Zoobeef - Pagid RS14s all round, Halfords Racing dot 4 fluid, standard plain discs. Hopefully my fluid change will help. And yes, I def have some issues with the calipers not releasing properly, handbrake related I think. Taking it to Phoenix Motorsport for 8am tomorrow to get it sorted before my 1000 mile round trip.

Great mileage if you use them over millions of soft miles and the odd trackday where you are poo on the brakes! Do you wanna be fast on road and track or a mainly road driver like Chris?

I must make a start this week,

Lots to do and the national is coming

1. Change engine oil and filter,
2. Brake fluid
3. Brake pads ( 1155 are not up to the job )
4. Need new rear tires    got new tires not sure if i should fit them or not before mallory park on the 9th
5. Would like to get geo done but don't think it will be done before national ohh and get new toe links fittedd

going to put new pads on soon CL5 + , my brakes are a lot better now i have got the air out of them, must of come from clutch line while i was changing engine.

i have also moved my brake vacuum pipe to the brake vacuum pump on the B207 engine to see how good it is

Well despite being a big fan of mintex 1144 and 1155 with a heavy heart I must say these are shite compared with the cl5+ I can't believe how shite the mintex are in comparison Feel is better they are a lot more powerful I didn't expect them to be so good,

could you move the vacuum back to the inlet manifold to see if that's helping feel? I'm debating keeping my vacuum pump

that'll be just the CLs alone, they're much better that Mintex.

Personally I wouldn't bother unless it's easy.

I've tried a Vacuum pump when I thought I had vacuum issues and was no benefit.

The servo is good for 3 brake applications and it's not like it's using up vacuum while you're holding you're brake down hard on track.

I can only guess a Saab wanted to cover all bases like a 9-3 loaded with accessories a caravan and a turbo :D

Nev also tried the vacuum pump option and didn't find any huge difference.

Do you mean put the brake vacuum pipe back on the charger instead of the pump The pump helps a lot especially if you are left foot braking,

Drove RC5+ for a couple of years on track. Never had any problems with them when cold or in the wet. Very good bite and feel. Now using RC6 and these can be tricky in the wet (ABS off) due to a more aggressive bite point. ;-)

Only downside on the CL pads are their aggressive (copper) dust.

Big thumbs up from the cl5 + work very well from cold but it didn't rain despite the forecast can't comment on them In wet weather yet. The biggest difference between these and the mintex was I now don't come out of the car sweating my bollocks from squeezing the brakes so hard, there is just so much power from the brakes you don't have to push hard on them

Looks like a nice track and a good bit of racing there. I would say that yours is similar power to Georges car so the software is not far out.

Maybe due to the current geo setup. What are you running? Always liked the 340R track setup myself.
