Yes I see. As for SC'd cars I still remain to be convinced the PCV is of any help at all to the problems we have. As soon as there is any boost, it'll be shut and so just the same in that scenario as if it were blocked off. It only does anything at small throttle openings where it pulls crankcase vapours via the valve, and air is drawn into the cam breather. As soon as it shuts the flow on the cam breather reverts to being outward and it's back to square one. Anyway lets see what chill finds on the tests.I think it is a simple as some engines "breathe" more heavily than others when tweaked. If not then mine has been fubared for the past 10 years

I am on the same as Mr Chill with PCV open on the B207 but with a catch tank between cam cover and inlet. Did a few hours of track, and still need to check the tank. May do that this eveningLet me no the results, do you have a separator ??
No seperator. Tank was empty.
I do need to do a few more trackdays though. August 1 Zandvoort is a full day, which should give more info.

Sounds promising Did you have a diffrent arrangement before which gave you a issue like mine ??No seperator. Tank was empty. I do need to do a few more trackdays though. August 1 Zandvoort is a full day, which should give more info.

Yes, smal filter on the catch tank, instead of back into inlet pipe.
Same as you. Tank filled pretty quick, and filter drowned with oil.
This positive pressure thingy is sounding positive for now
(preliminairy conslusion, as i need to do more track miles)

Also the first trackday (well hours) ever i did, without having to top up oil afterwards.
If chris_uk's bottle is airtight to the hose, it could explain the same(isch) result.

No separator at the moment but there no signs of oil in the inlet Straight inInteresting this. Await to see what happens at Anglesey. I suppose if there's any significant oil going back into your intake the exhaust will smoke as its burnt? If there's anyone following you on the day maybe they can watch out for any sign of that. Have you got any oil separator or catch between the cam breather and inlet at the moment Chill - or is it currently straight in?

For the cost of a basic oil catch tank it must be worth adding a cheap, one even if it's just to make it easy to monitor whats happening without having to pull the intake off every time?

Or just use a small bottle like chris_uk did if it's just for an experiment.
Just make sure the hose seals the bottle neck to make it air tight.
