Nice to bring up a SR20DE picture...

Never seen the return going to an exhaust with all the sr20's I've seen. Either breatherfilter or catchcan in between en return to intake pipe behind the maf.

Ran catchcan in between and blocked the pvc connection on my S14 SR20DET. Worked great. All fumes had to pass the catchcan.

Interested how you work this out though ;-)

Also think I'm going to be creating the vacuume in the exhaust system rather than the inlet To stop the oily sh*t going into the inlet

Be sure to fit it in the exhaust after the cat (and secondary lambda) to prevent oil damage/contamination to cat or sensors and plug or close it off during an MOT test as it will introduce free oxygen in the exhaust that will throw off the MOT tester calculated lambda value and make it too high to get a pass.

Bye, Arno.

Oh.. And make sure you fit a flame-arrestor (aka. metal gauze filter) in the pipework connection so any igniting oil vapour can't travel back up the pipe to the engine and give a big bang...

Bye, Arno.

I've used them on pro-stocks.  From my experience you need the connector tube close the the merger on the manifold which doesn't suit your purposes.  This might be because I was running open manifolds though.  The ones I was using had a gause in to stop any flashback and they worked fairly well.  IIRC the angle you weld into the exhaust is fairly key to their function.

Not personally, but I have seen it done on several US V8 engines.

As FLD mentions the location and shape of the nozzle in the exhaust is critical for it to work well (or not..) so it develops a low-pressure area.

Should be enough out there on the internet if you dig around to get some good info on this.

Bye, Arno.

Will you be doing any extra cooling mods for the intake mani? Like lee's second intercooler or using meth kit?

I will be doing one step at a time so I can see what's happening with each modification First will be exhaust keeping M62 Then possibly add Harrop and see how I get on will probably need a bigger fuel pump

Might be worth trying the LS4 throttle as well I think Lee is using one. The Harrop is more efficent so should produce less heat of the correct pulley is used. If it was mine I would run a large pulley and aim for 320-340 BHP that is reliable and dosn't fall away on track.

Not sure I would bother with the exhaust mod. There are to many unknowns regarding how well it will work and problems it ma cause. Just spend the money on a proper baffled catch tank not the cheap ebay specials. OEM's use catch tanks so they do work.

I was thinking about putting my current 3.1 pulley on it but will also be experimenting with pulley sizes once I've added one thing at a time
