Yes will do Not planning on having any restriction before charger

Also try to keep the biggest pipe diameter you can from the filter to the TB and then fit a reducer piece at or close to the TB to bring it to the correct size.

Eg. if your new filter has a 110MM attachement for a pipe, keep it 110MM to close to the TB and then reduce to the TB size at that point.

Bigger surface area/diameter of the pipe means lower air speeds for the same volume/sec which pretty much directly translates into less pressure drop pre-TB.

Bye, Arno.

Would it be better to get a larger bit on air filter and reduce toTB As I can choose what size outlet on the TB side of filter??

You'd have to look at the fitment and how straight you can get the pipe to fit.

If that's all not going to be too much of a problem I'd presonally go for a nice big bore. Look at the common (silicone) hose sizes and see what matches up best.

If your LS4 TB needs a 75/76mm hose then for instance you can use a 102mm pipe and use a reducer like this (shortened as much as possible on the TB side to let the taper end just at the TB flange) and a ali coupler to the first straight pipe from the filter:

That way you have a long(ish) run of nice big straight 102mm pipe where the intake air doesn't need to move as fast and the final part narrows (and accelerates the air) into the TB to maximise the intake efficiency.

Bye, Arno.

I'll probably get shot down for this but how about do a power run without the air filter or fix a stocking over the end to keep out the big stuff. Should tell you pretty if its something other than the air filter restricting

Just fit a smaller pulley and be done with it. Your car is shockingly slow for a Harrop SC  :P
