Just thought I would say what a great mod this is, even with the roof off and driving at 70mph you can still feel the heat from the heater :D

Around town (with the roof off) you hardly notice the outside temperature is just 7 degrees, no wonder those who run about with the roof on have to turn the heater down

If you are undecided about purchasing this heater my advice is buy it Imnotworthy

It is on my list of "wants", but can't buy anything off that list until my list of "needs" is empty :(

Would you fill it with coolant after first install to avoid air pockets?

Wow, perhaps NAs have a better coolant supply. Mine is still too cold at M'way speeds with the roof on.

What's your coolant temperature like? Presumably that has a big effect on the temperature of the air coming from the vents

That shouldn't be the case, if anything turbos tend to heat up quicker. Put the heater control on an intermediate setting, place your hand on the silver control valve and feel if it's clicking. If it isn't then the valve needs replacing - I have had at least two bad batches of valves.

Only if it has a cool running stat. It gets hotter quicker because iron rejects heat better than steel and its a higher power density engine. Also based on entirely empirical evidene, it gets hotter quicker.

I take it you will still be making these in a year or two - as I will definitely put myself on the list if my purchase comes off.

My car was running at 87 degrees yesterday and heater fan was on full speed, at 70mph with the roof off we still had warmth around our legs, not huge amounts (most of the heat was being sucked straight out of the open roof) but enough to fell comfortable.

Agree with this.

My heater was always total rubbish. Popped in a Fezzasus unit and had to turn it down last night (-2c outside) after it had been running a while with the soft top on, as i was too hot.

Cracking modification, I reckon thumbsup; no point having a stage 9 superturbo if your windscreen is frosted up on the inside and you cannot see out, I say. Thanks also to Tom for his prompt assistance when it was needed.

The car gets too hot now with the Fezzasus heater fitted ! Continually having to turn it down now to the mid point on the dial. Now I'll have to find something else to complain about. Still, you run a Vauxhall, what can you expect ?

Agreed - fitted mine today and it creates a nice flow of warm air with enough oomph to blow onto the screen AND onto your feet to warm the cabin up!. Another very happy customer here - well made bit of kit that wasn't as bad to fit as I was expecting. Thanks Tom thumbsup That's one job sorted, now I just need to get cracking on the other 10 (although the list seems to grow quicker than I can get through the jobs...)
