Just speaking to a company about getting fuel lines sorted on my SC vx. He wants to know what I need. That's the bit I need to know. What size do I need to order and which bits should I be replacing? Any help would be great.

Depends what you want to do.

This is the tank to fuel rail diagram i drew up once - its still correct.

If you want rallye lines, then i have a BOM for that too.

What's the rally lines mate and is it a full set? How much is it? With your diagram would that work the same with a Harrop and standard fuel tank?

these are rally lines, but they only go back to the OEM filter:

and have to be 'integrated' into the plastic return line. which is ok, but its not as nice as the solution outlined in the diagram above.

Haven't chased my adaptors for a while...give me a duncan :P

Both set-up would work fine with harrop

I would be happy doing to just the fuel filter. Do you sell the fuel lines? I take it its a easy job to replace it?

Have a look here http://www.vx220.org...c/#entry1239423

I went whole hog but have to admit that for me it was more work than the rest of the SC conversion together. The fit at the fuel tank side is very, very tight. I have an original tank btw, no Pro Alloy. And I just installed the Walbro high pressure pump and again had to use a little bit more force than I felt comfortable with to get it all in again. Also moved the fuel filter from the bulk head to a more accessible place. So once it's done, it's great, but expect to spend a little time

I see there is some mixed reviews about these quick release ends at the fuel rail side as they dont fit properly. Anyone found a better alternative?

It's in JG's drawing: dash 6 (AN6). Same as I used (all AN6). Not sure what you mean by the quick release at the fuel rail end. The OE ones are quick release. They are changed to adapters that adapt whatever is on the fuel rail side to AN6, so that from there onwards you can use AN6. Both for ingoing and return. I didn't have any problems with the adapters. One needs some thread sealant, but can't remember which one. Both adapters available from the US http://www.ebay.com/...g-/290582101137 You may be able to find these from a local supplier, as there are many whatever-thread to AN6 adapters. You'll have to find out what the thread on the fuel rail is however.

Thanks for the reply mate. He also put this. Thanks for your reply. The Dash 6 / -6 / JIC 6 / AN6 are all the same thread / size. The hose would need to be this size to suit the fittings but the dropdowns on the link below give this size option. Please let us know if you need more info.

Those are the adapters that JG is having made by a local engineering firm. Perhaps drop him a pm?

Be interested to know what the final list and price for it looks like mate. I reckon there are a few on here who would like to move the fuel lines and replace with braided.

Sorry guys some more questions and thanks for the help up to now. My main aim is to keep the engine bay looking oem the best i can and ive found a few different braided hoses to pick from. I like this the best as its a black braided hose http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2a166c99d9 but would it be up to the job? Ive seen a few have gone for the Aeroquip Racing hose which seems the best stuff on the market but only comes in a sliver braided colour. What stuff should i go for and whats should i look out for as i dont want to buy it if its going to leak or deteriorate over time.

Personally, I find that Stealth stuff a right bitch to work with compared to regular Aeroquip. Just sayin.
