Another vote for switzerland here, i've done a few in austria, italy and france too, can't wait to get out there in the VX.

Same pass as Adam posted, taken a few years ago now when i was out there in my 182 Trophy.

My favourite drive is still the A701 from Moffat to Dalkieth.

I used to look after a sales office just South of Edinburgh and could not wait to visit from Skipton twice a month (even in my 2.0L Vectra!)

Good road, we went home that way after Camp Gordon last year.

I keep trying to remember what that road was. That was a great drive back. thumbsup

Thought it was called the Wrynose Pass. Remember doing that (and the Hardknott that it joins) in a school coach on a geography field trip.

Great thing about that road is small blats of 60mph feel like tripple figures because of the tight twisty nature of the road, only bit that runs the road are the numptys you usually meet comming the other way burning their clutches out on the steep sections because they cant drive properly.

Kirkstone pass is also worth a visit while in the area ;)

A701 in scotland is a great road as well

Both great roads but not in a VX at speed.was going to take them down that way for the run out at the camping meet but bottomed mine several times and had to crawl along in the end ,some of the pot holes you can fall in.

Nice run in a normal car, great road to frighten the death out your passenger, done them on the push bike which is errr different.

From Hartside I turn onto the A689 and turn off to Allendale at Nenthead, then back down to rejoin the 689 around Wearhead and on towards Crook via St Johns Stanhope etc.
