UPDATE!!
Hi all, finally looking good, i decided to sell my clam on as there was too much damage and didn't want to have a weak clam fitted. Sold that on for a fair price and bought one of Jon's clams.
Here are some photo's of the clam loosely fitted
Took it to my body shop guy who was a little nervous but he did lots of research which inspired lots of confidence. I went to have a look how he was getting on today and i'm very happy with the results so far! I had to drill out the holes to the correct size and the clam was strengthened where it meets the rad housing. i also bought some black mesh from eBay for the grille and cut that to size. The finish he's achieved is amazing and i can't wait to see it once he's done 3 hours more polishing and it's in naturals light. Really happy with the work he's done and the price given! Would highly recommend to anyone needing work on the south coast.

Looks fantastic! Did the bodyshop thing prep levels required were minimal enough? The GRP guys are sorting out the middle by pushing the product down a couple of mm so that wont be required now. Same with the holes including the fog light brackets!
Chuffed to bits with how thats come out

Yeah i'm really pleased Jon, He said he was impressed with the clam and said it's better than most. Said they're not nice to work on though because they can't be put in the oven etc. I'm really impressed with the paint finish though it will look fantastic with some wax! Can't wait to get it back next weekend!
Thanks again Jon and i hope you have success with them, as it's a great product.

Our paint shop said they were going to DA it back and reprime so he could be sure it was prepped well enough, but he seemed happy with it. I'm away at he moment, but I'm looking forward to seeing it next week.Looks fantastic! Did the bodyshop thing prep levels required were minimal enough? Thats a good sign then it was in bare gelcoat not primed A DA and prime with minimal other prep is just what we were after.
