Warning, lots of detail. The further you read, the more detailed it will get.

This car has been the best car I have ever driven… literally. I've had nothing but a smile on my face every time I've been sat in it. Even after 18 months of owning it I still get out with adrenaline shakes.

Quick Facts:
The good:
- - - - -
  • MOT til June - No Tax (sorn'd). The car has only done 500 miles from last MOT test so will no doubt pass again. If car isn't bought by MOT end then 12 months will be put on as I'm so confident.
  • 72k miles, only 4.5k covered in the last 18 months.
  • Stage 2 remapped by Courtenay Sport - 258bhp 288lb/ft
  • Miltek full exhaust system
  • VXR Turbo upgrade (brand new, fitted 20 miles ago)
  • Bilstein Coilovers (£2.4k to buy brand new)
  • 3 inch custom made turbo intake pipe
  • Genuine facelift Vauxhall Corsa VXR alloys
  • Alcantara suede interior trimming with custom designed stitching
  • Recent respray with real carbon fibre modifications.
  • Always run on Momentum 99
The not so good:
- - - - -
  • Registered CAT C last owner. Im not totally sure what happened but as far as I can work out it had sill repair along with rear clam and rear light replacement. I can safely say there is NO chassis damage as I've had the entire bodywork off and seen EVERYTHING (pictures to prove). There is no damage to the bodywork either.
  • The bodywork isn't 100% perfect. Don't get me wrong, she's a beaut, but if you're looking for the perfect example then this isn't it. Obviously there are some drawbacks from having it carbon modified, some bits aren't perfect as its almost impossible with laminating (unevenness). Also there are some imperfections here and there. Can go into detail with pictures if requested.
  • Doesn't come with towing eye. This snapped after being towed - must've been weak due to age, I'm unsure.
Lots of paperwork for history of the vehicle including rolling road printouts.

My ownership history:
- - - - -
I bought this in August 2011 for £9.5k and it was track ready for Nurburgring by 2 owners before me. It used to have a big carbon wing fitted along with Pro Race 1.2's (still have receipts for this), Bilstein Coilovers and EBC Yellow Stuff pads. It was also already tuned to Courtenay Stage 2 with exhaust. The owner before me changed this by removing the carbon wing and changing the alloys to genuine Vauxhall ones. He also had carbon vinyl wrap fitted on to the body work, breaking the colour up a bit to separate it from the norm.

Since I have owned it, its had lots of work done with no expense spared. It was serviced when I first bought it, then again once the turbo was replaced (a 4k miles gap) 3 weeks ago! In October 2012 the car had a gearbox replacement as the selector forks were damaged. 2 engine mounts were also replaced during this along with the clutch and flywheel. In April 2012, I got bored with the carbon vinyl wrap and decided to start a mini bodywork project. The plan was to change the vinyl into real carbon, along with a respray (all materials were purchased from easycomposites.co.uk). So the rear and front clam, along with the doors, boot, bonnet and roof panel were laminated in real 2/2 twill carbon fabric, the car was then finished off with a respray. May 2012, she had a rear hub and abs sensor replacement (near side) along with a replacement radiator due to the old one leaking. I also replaced the water temperature sensor. She was then put through an MOT in beginning of June and passed first time. Later that month on a road trip, the turbo blew causing the car to be sorn'd off the road to this day.

Through all of this I have only driven the car about 4.5k miles since I bought her. She has been sorn'd for all this time as I got made redundant August last year and haven't been able to afford to drive her - hence sale.

Anyone who has taken a liking to this - shall I say "different" looking vx220 will not be disappointed, yes it has a couple of minor drawbacks on the bodywork but if the whole car appeals to you then these will not phase you.

I have an online portfolio of pictures of everything I have ever done with the car as I get a little obsessive like this - perhaps a good thing? A link for this can be given upon request.

£8,500 ono

Some additional info after digging out the paper work and reading through the history...

Car was sold to the last owner 23/10/09 at 56500 miles for £11000
Car was sold to me 10/07/11 at 68000 miles for £9500

Looking at the MOT certificates the car had 41688 miles on 16/10/07, and 46767 on 01/10/08 - looking through receipts there seems to be a recurring average of about 5k miles per year.

The service history I have found is as follows:
- Short service at 5087 (05/08/2004)
- Cambelt and water pump change, inc reverse light switch and key battery replacement at 51065 (08/04/09) - invoice was £367.64
- Full service inc N/S/R shocker replacement and GEO setup at 54272 (14/07/2009) - invoice was £400.58
- Mini service at Courtenay Sport inc new VXR fuel rail and stage 2 remap at 66018 (17/03/11) - invoice was £607.88

I serviced the car at 69000 and then again at 72000 (few weeks ago) when the new VXR Turbo was fitted.

Im yet to printout the receipts for all of my purchases but without my input, this is the history paperwork:

As of now for this forum only, the price is reduced to £8000

I dont really wish to let this sit in the garage for much longer as thats all its been doing since end of June. This beaut needs to see some lovely country roads again.
