The s2000 is 500bhp+ at 1000kg Mikes 330bhp at 800kg Regardless of how similar the cars are there is no getting away from the fact the s2000 is nearly 100bhp/tonne more than mikes.. That will make a hell of a difference.

Sequential box is pretty damn useful as well!

That all said we know what Scuffers did at the end of last year in that Exige... so in theory its possible!

If I was Mike I would get Scuffers to set a lap to know what the car could do and where he could make time.

Although as Mike has already said he just needs more time in the car... to find the time!

Also Romains crx is 530bhp and is 850kgs. So does this mean he should be in pro also? This only leaves Bo! Let me research him and see if we can get him into pro aswell

Joe, that is a decision that we will not be a part of and that will be out of our hands and decided way above us mere competitors.

I think the discord has nowt to do with the car, the feeling that I understood was that a pro driver should only be allowed in a fully pro class not club pro.

Charlie is a mate and I am happy to race him and will not be a part of any protest or decision.

I spent the majority of the day sat over on the grandstand by the pit straight, from what I could see there was little difference in the s2000 and the VX (even the speed traps show similar speeds) however, one thing I did notice is the s2000 looked noticeably faster through the 2 corners into the steep hill. Charlie was able to get through without braking every lap whereas Mike tapped the break between the two corners, given practice there was definate time to be made there for Mike.
We all know from last year that Mike is very competant and will keep improving and getting faster, IMO I think we will see bigger improvements from Mike over the season than Charlie and thus a very close battle to the end similar to Ronnie and Mike last year.

Good result yesterday and exciting stuff, look forward to more of the same, top effort to Mike and the Team thumbsup

As above from where I was by the cafe. Mike was keeping pretty close when following the s2000. Most cars looked banzai through the chicain after that steep rise though and mike looked so calm and smooth. Obviously worked to get a quick time but couldn't help thinking that that section could of squeezed a bit more time!

A048s you mean? Kumhos will make a difference as they are better tyres So 3.5 seconds difference. Extra 50bhp, about 7k worth of suspension and aero mods. Mike need to get back there and try harder

yea, sorry i did put that in but deleted it and re-wrote it wrong lol i wonder how close we would be to the 1'37.1 with the car as it was after snetterton. although, the smaller/shorter the track the harder it is to gain time..im looking forward to seeing how the season progresses and the differences between the 2 years, especially when we get to tracks where we had everything the same bar the scufferation..

IMHO if compression is ok it aint the engine.

The compression is slightly down on one piston,10psi,it is all ok with a little oil dropped in
This problem we have had for 18 months despite changing nearly everything,we plan to get to croft for a Trackday and change injectors, ecu, actuator and see how we go as this is about all we havnt already changed
I just can't see it being the engine as it doesn't smoke, use oil,and it would surely have died by now!!
The fastest lap we did was set when the car would not give any boost at all,due to another, yes another fault!!!! The car was so much easier to drive without the power coming on and off like Gareth gates making a best man speech
I am very out of love with it at the moment and could gladly use it for target practice

I just read all of that S2K build thread. Not sure what to comment really, must be frustrating racing against something/body with such a big budget in a small series.
