 it's a lovely box not a minutes trouble since it was first installed :beat: Never modded purely for weight saving as its a road car, anyway it only weighs around 4 kilos more than a F23

You make it sound like a VX220 turbo can't go around corners...

I think Joe meant in a controlled way.

I think a lot of the stage 4 cars suffer with this problem, but a larger turbo running at around 60% of it's capability with a correctly setup bypass valve(s) is a lot smoother, there are times when I drive my car (with reduced boost, say around 10 to 18 PSI) and it has "almost" NA smoothness, though with more boost it does get a bit more violent. Also, I had Nipper weighed and without driver and 1/3 tank of fuel he was 40.3 % on the front axle and 59.7 % on the rear. This was a better front/rear ratio than I had expected TBH, though his overall weight had crept up a lot to 940 KG :(

Whats the noise limit on TA or is variable at each different circuit ?

Depends on the circuit Nev but i think every where last year was 105db static. Not sure about Donington this year but i cant imagine they are going to stick to the 98db drive by. Would be good to see how you get on at an event thumbsup

Gavin renshaws car is obviously very well set up and hes a very good driver but when i watch his on board videos then his part throttle reminds me of how my VXT use to be before the standalone.

That's some quick car he has. I think I might squeeze under 105 dB static test, but the noise when on full bore from 6000 to 8000 RPM is way beyond that. Anyway I am still waiting for my new turbo before I can drive the bloody thing.

Wouldn't be fair on Nev really, he's not track prepped it and not spent a massive amout of time on chassis dynamics so Scuff's would probably rip it. Engine wise though I'm sure he'd be impressed by the sheer grunt of it. I think Nev should get on track with it though and start enjoying the car properly. And I want to race him, lol.

Also, that Renshaw vid is INSANE!!!!

Mr Renshaw made that look like a nice easy rapid Sunday drive. 4WD helps I suppose ;)

Shows what a small world it is, went with my best mate to go check out a car he wanted to buy and the guy works for chassis dynamics for Sahara f1 and Mclaran f1 etc. Anyway one of his best mates owns the orange and black evo that was in time attack few years ago which he is using In Australian time attack now. Managed to score a factory visit and a go in the simulator. He said he will give me the f1 silver stone ticket he gets aswell but I doubt he will as they get it very late and he will probably forget lol. Hope the car is alright because I didn't pay much attention to it :lol:/>

Great shots! The front splitter looks really low. Surprised it wasn't damaged by a kerb at some point.
