10sec between Mike and Darren bloody hell

Weve inherited a throtle fault with the new loom and the car still misfires like mad. Certainly wouldnt be 10secs if we could get the twatting thing working.

I have a turbo loom in the garage mate if you need another

Cheers but i think it will be ok. Might need a new engine but going to try my ecu and Injectors first. If it doesnt work at Croft then i think that will be the end of our TA season and the end of the donkey. Its soul destroying to put so much effort in to something and it be a piece of sh*t. Were not happy :(

Mike's car has to be in the top 5 VX's in the world presently! Unreal spec! Dazza... Sorry to hear your gremlins are still lurking, hope it didn't take the edge off of enjoying the day I bet it was quite an experience driving your rookie event amongst such a field and at Cadwell to boot, I bet it was intense as fcuk!!!! Mate I had my fair share of gremlins; I lost an engine at Knockhill and it never recovered after that. I had some crappy luck and actually contacted Time Attack to withdraw and sell my slots but help can often come when you need it most and between Joe and Nelly my season was ressurrected and I went on to win. Look at Mike last year; on the bones of his arse then Nick stepped in with weapon X and the forum raised some dough and he went on to win! Faaaaaaar too early to speak of ending your campaign, could you look at running a different car? Not sure what the regs are on that one now.....

I was there today with Clark 55...many of you will have met him at the last two nationals. We had a good solid day. Was nice to see team Darron and Team Cliffie too. :-)

Cheers bud. Ive got an engine crane and ive changed mine before on my own so we should be good. Darrons not convinced its the engine so not sure if we will get one but that would be my plan of attack along with ecu. Just been adding up what we can sell parts for if we break it lol. Its a royal pita not being able to test it on the road. Track time is expensive!

If anyone hears of a cheap engine going then give is a shout.

Ronnie's slower than last year.... Umar was 0.7 seconds quicker than last year so no big jumps in performance from them but I'm pretty stoked for Umar taking a win as they don't come too often for him (Knockhill 2011 I think was his last win). I want to hear from Dazza about what he thought of competing.....

fcuk me I'm knackered. Great day and massive thanks to the whole team; Matty, Joe, Chris, Dean and George for the spark plugs. With only three real laps under my belt in what is pretty much an unknown car, today was always going to be about learning. It was a proper cold day and it wasn't easy getting heat into the front tyres but I am actually really happy with today's result. Every flying lap in qually and final was quicker than the last and I reckon there is another second at least in the car at Cadwell for me; more if only a proper driver got in it. (Yes, I agree that Scuffers is a different league to me as is Charlie B-H). We should be encouraged with the way the car ran; it is epic.

Do not talk yourself down. The car is a credit to you (helped this year by sponsors created by the credibility you earned last year) and the times you made today are your, and your team's, achievements. The VX220 fold are /will be endebted to you, Jimmy, Darren, Mark and your respective teams going forward. More success on the track should help nudge values in the right direction (for you lot, not me) and convince EliseParts / BoT et al. to continue to support these cars, where Vauxhall do not. Go out and p*ss on the competition.

good result mate...

all I can suggest is you really need more time in the car before the next round, you need to get to Croft ready to learn the cct, not the car still...

really pleased for you though, clearly you have a lot more time to come, just work on keeping the car reliable and you getting more used to it.
