ok update on my findings... ive replaced all the fuses in the fuse box with new after changing all my switches back to the standard ones, my headlights and sidelights turn on and off as they should and after sticking a multimeter on the battery and various bits all seems fine one of my headlights was out which turned out to be one of the ballasts becoming unclipped from the bulb...i have just recieved my new bulbs today so ill be ditching the HID's this weekend but... when i put my key in the ignition and turn it, nothing happens, no stereo, no instrument lights etc and the pump for the charge coolant doesnt engage there is a clicking sound that appears to come from the light switches but under the dash...could it be one of the relays that is causing the problems? what are these relays for?

also wondering if the charge cooler pump is causing the fault, would it be fused and where would it get feed from, used to start when key is in ignition (joe and lee conversion)
