Adrian Flux are def worth a try. Very competitive against my previous CCI commuting quote, although more expensive for track day insurance if you need / want it.

I've got a decent list I built up last year so it's just a case of going through them all, just get sick of doing it every year though, I just wish for once I'd get a renewal that was equal or cheaper than the previous year. This renewal is as much as my first year with the car, when I was 22 and had 0 no-claims thumbsdown

Feel your pain Simon, Bridel insured me for £460 last year. This year its gone up to £560, when i questioned it they replied with that all insurances had gone up by 5-10%. . . . . . . . . . . So my next question was. Can you just had 5 or 10% to last years price then instead of over 20%. W**kers. rant They called me back a day later and said £560 was the best they could do.

Privalige was the best I could get. £655 for the noble and £370 for the Mazda. Having the ex Mrs insured to drive them dropped it by 20% but shhhh don't tell her.

Its a practice I despise. Shopping around for insurance. And then speaking to an insurer who either gives you a sh*t price and then says they'll beat someone else or not giving you a quote until you have given them the best price you have found for them to attempt to beat it.

But for the sake of a couple of hours of work can save you a couple hundred £ then its worth it.

When I insured the VX with More Than I took off Commuting off the policy and saved a bit and also got £70 cash back by going through Quidco.
