Upgraded pioneer CD/MP3 headunit with fusion speakers
Carbon wrapped windscreen surround and black powder coated petrol filler cap
Upgraded cabin filter
HID Headlights

Cosmetic Condition:

Overall condition is very good, a truly stunning vehicle and viewed 4 before purchasing this one.
Negatives to note - As expected for a 10 year old fibreglass vehicle there are some stone chips to the clamshell, I have pictured the worst of these but they honestly do not detract from the overall appearance. There is minimal wear to the driver side seat bolster, a small cosmetic crack to the plastic driver side sill cover (not the fibreglass or the clam), a slight split in the soft top on one of the fastenings and a small hole in one of the front wheel arch liners caused by running wider wheels at the front.

Mechanical Condition:

Engine is strong and pulls hard in all gears across the rev range. Gearbox is tight and it goes into gear with ease with a lovely mechanical action. Car does not use any oil although I always keep an eye on it. Suspension components free from leaks based upon visual inspection and engine and mounts are all very solid. Brakes have lots of life after being changed only 7,000 miles ago.

**Important information for prospective buyers**

Just returned from Back on Track Motorsport with a clean bill of health from Jez the owner. The car had its 9th service and I had an intermittent overheating fault investigated and rectified. I have driven the car 60 miles home and everything appears to be operating correctly albeit the temp gauge was fluctuating between 86-88 as opposed to holding a fixed reading. That said the car did not display the overheating characteristics that it had previously displayed. I just want to make the new owner fully aware of this fact as this forum has been invaluable and I would hate to misinform a prospective buyer!

Price:

£10,500 with hardtop or £10,100 without

With the above in mind and the fact I would like a quick sale, price is £10,500 as listed with the hardtop or £10,100 without the hard top – buyer has first refusal on this before splitting so please don’t ask just yet.

June last year I paid £11k for the car so I feel it is priced very competitively :happy:/>

Well worth a viewing and happy to answer any questions via PM or phone 07545 953 871.

Thanks
Sam

The bubbling in that last photo is the armourfend protection film edge.
Think that's everything, Any questions ask away :)

Edit to add, the past 5 owners have all been on the forum. Here is the advert when I purchased from Dan in June last year -

Hi Mandy,

Suspension and clutch are both standard.

I do have the standard VXT wheels in the garage actually! They have been powder coated black and could do with a polish in all honesty.

Tyres on them are shot though :( Bridgestones, rears on the wear markers and fronts showing signs of cracking.

Would you like me to get some pictures?

If the TD 1.2's were not wanted in the sale then I would be happy to adjust the price accordingly by say -£400, however you wouldn't be able to legally drive off with the black wheels.

Cheers,
Sam

No that's ok Sam, it's TD's I want for the track but like standard wheels for winter road use. Are you selling them with the car as well?

Right. As much as it pains me this needs to go before I move house.

Reduced:

£9,500 with hardtop or £9,100 without

To reiterate, this is a HPI Clear VXT with FSH.

Even with the unexplained temp fluctuations in my original post this is still a bloomin bargain (if I may say so myself). Aside from that the car is as tight as ever. Took it out for a run last night and had great fun in it :) Don't be put off by the miles, it's an Astra in a dress and it wears them very well!

As above, HPI clear.... And yes, painfully cheap :( I can only assume it's the mileage and/or temp fluctuation that I've mentioned putting people off. But I wanted to be completely upfront about the car in the same way I hope someone would be with me in the future and I feel the price more than reflects condition now. Happy to talk any prospective owners through in detail on the phone or via PM. Regards Sam

Final few pictures tonight now we are having some nice weather soft-top and topless. It will be fed to eBay next week if it doesn't go.

The red spot on the front bumper is just a reflection from the lens of the car in front.

No but temporarily unavailable due to a run in with a kerb :( in which the rear wheel came off worse than the concrete.
