I keep looking at that picture and thinking... for every time that car has let you down, it paid you back ten times over yesterday. It really stood up to the plate when you needed it most, what a sturdy little bugger!! Hope you are both well today :grouphug:

I think they'll be buying a Mini now... You should've seen how happy Stuwy was to be driven home in a baby blue Cooper  It was good to see you both though, and I'm happy to see that you both got away with just a few aches and pains. I'll definitely be investing in some harnesses for my Vx now!!

Reallyt sick to see that. Glad you're both ok. Chill out for a few days, a crash can have a bigger impact than you initially think.

Ill be buying onyx back from insurance company but obviously its not repearable.

I'm not sure you'll be able to, as I think you need to be "approved" if a car is a CAT A or B, which that most certainly is. Still, that's an argument to leave to another day.

It will probably be a Cat B, so the only way you will get to remove anything is to pay for it to be delivered to your place and remove the bits you want before it goes to the scrap yard.

ps: think Joe still has your original engine :ninja:

Me too
to see your lady sitting there with the fireman putting the neck brace on.....

Try and drive a car as soon as you can
talk about the accident a much as u can to as many people as you can
it will help in the long run.

I have not surrendered the car to insurance. It's worth more in bits then any payout ill get being a cat car anyway.

She is coming home tomorrow x

Just seen this after the status update :( sorry to see guys! Onyx was in fact one of the cars that made me want a VX, my second ever passenger ride in one with Stuwy at the controls and Lizy telling me how best to climb in! Glad to hear you both got away with minor aches and pains. Hope the insurance process isn't too painful!

So sorry to see this. I have seen plenty of post accident pics in my time on .org but to see a pic taken at the scene whilst fire crew extracting a passenger takes is to a whole new dimension. As others have said, the only important thing is that you are both OK. Really sad though to see your beloved VX in such a state :( especially after all you have gone through with your VX Hope insurance is kind to you thumbsup
