Im guessing it's more of a big reminder of his car every time he goes into his room.i think having the roof off "may" have speeded up the process of getting Lizy out,as you never had to mess about unbolting your roof?

More like chopping the roof off.

It was about 10/15 mins before the emergency services turned up,and with about 8 vx's parked up along the roadside,I'm guessing we'd of had the roof off (unbolted) in no time,:-)
I'm guessing there would of been fibreglass everywhere if they'd of had to chop it.

Though I would have have thought a hammer would have been the better tool to remove the hardtop in that situation.

The screen had been pushed back, it was really difficult to fit the soft top, so I suspect the hard top would have either been damaged or would need cutting off.

Next time I go out in my car I'm going to leave the clams off. Just in case.

Hmmm given that the screen had been pushed back I think it would probably have gone one if two ways:

1. The hard top would have helped avoid the screen moving and mad it a bitch to remove.

2. The clamping pressure on the hard top would have caused the brackets to seperate from the hard top itself

From the majority of damage to Stuwy's car, I'd suggest leaving a front wheel and strut off. I reckon without those bits fitted you'll not crash.

Leave the chassis at home as well, then the Vx will always be repairable

Joey took me out in his VX today and I have to admit I was wanting a longer ride by the end. 3/4 seconds of bad compared to 3ish years of great driving fun.. ok 2 years if you take the time she was off the road  really there is no comparison

still hate the corsa :P

Seems like you are cheering up a bit :)

How's the injuries?

C'mon Stuwy and Lizy. How are you both? We need an update.

feeling a bit better, can walk without being in pain now.. still not comfortable but moving in the right direction..

Glad to hear you're on the mend fella and thumbs up to Joey for starting your rehabilitation!! How's Lizy doing?

Sorry to hear. Had a similar moment once in the dark when a bend tightened and I realised too late, and was incredibly lucky there was a dirt track straight on and I was able to do the turn 1 at Monaco drive straight on trick. Glad you both ok
