if your too lazy to take the tank out to change the pump, then that's your lookout.
Anyway, I am sure some of you will ignore me and carry on.... Not my problem.
Scuffers I respect that you know your stuff however please post here with some level respect for other people.
I made a post about this because I wished to hear all sides before I make an informed decision. When I speak to people as a professional, I do so with the aim to pass on information in such a way that they will make informed decisions as to what is the best course of action in a specific situation given all revenant information. People WILL alway be willing learn new things when an idea is explained to them, not just told what to do but why you should do it (fully understand).
I am not too lazy to take the tank out and I won't just ignore you and carry one, I will however get informed information from other professionals and then make an informed decision.
just because lotus say drop the tank though doesn't mean you might not be able to change the pump from above without enlarging the hole.

I'm a structural engineer (Beng (Hons) and Ceng if you want the letters) and i can certify that it will make no discernable difference if you enlarge that hole slightly.
I could show you how that analysis is calculated, but tales of terrible crashes and folded chassis are far more headline grabbing
It might work with the seloc guys, but it doesn't fly here.
ah, analysis...but that means fcuk all.. have you got the lap times to prove it..

Where's your data analysis Proving that it does compromise then?
Also while you are at it where is your data analysis proving that bending a rear wish bone so that it doesn't hit the wheel is a viable option when fitting the gt hubs.
Funny how it doesn't mention that on the site.
