Remembered after reading this post I bought a couple of 'Great White Sponges' from Halfrauds for 25p, just tried one on my steering wheel. Now all Matt and looking like new. :)

Just used some toothpaste on a tissue, works a treat on the steering wheel plus the cabin has a nice minty smell :-)

Just tried em out and they are brilliant! Steering wheel looks completely different. Cleans the tub right up dead easy. Good tip.

Feels different too - much cheaper than buying a new car for the same experience

Sugar Puffs, Snack-a-Jacks and polystyrene has the same effect on me.

What, eating polystyrene makes your wee stink...?

.... if ever there were a "hand in your man-card" thread. Scared of polystyrene? Recommending sponges? Irrational fear of Sugar Puffs? <shakes head and goes to find a manly thread to spam>

You're confusing fear with something that makes you feel weird when you touch it. I don't think any of us are afraid of sponges ffs

The only thing that gets me is rubbing your teeth on the unglazed ring on the bottom of a mug. (I know why do that anyway) I actually quite like the cotton wool, polystyrene, and magic sponge things.
