Maybe a daft question but would insurance companies consider these as a replacement?

Don't see why not. Vat registered etc, so a bonafide supplier.

Have you thought about coloured gel coats?
You could supply a yellow gel coat to ly owners etc... Less obvious stone chips etc.

That's actually a really good idea Pops, have a gold star. :)
Wouldn't need to be a perfect colour match at all, something reasonably close would help disguise stone chips significantly.
Top marks to Jon too, an affordable front clam replacement can only be good for the VX community ongoing thumbsup

Yes all the clams have been made with the intention of offering them as pattern parts. You never know we might even be able to start saving some writeoffs. We are trying to keep at least one in stock all the time so quick delivery to keep those hire car costs down!

Well done indeed, everyone in the VX community should feel comforted knowing that these are now available. Any plans for other VX body parts?

We have the Elise front going in next so after thats done we can have a look at something else. There was a bit of interest in getting the rear clams remade so we might go for the OEM rear and then we can have a crack at nailing this coupe rear.

Fairplay Jonny, To put this into context, I got quoted £1300 for a repair and blow over of my front clam.

If you do go for VX rears, will you do VXT or NA?

That's a difficult one! It might just really depend who wants them at the time. The vxt will fit the na but there's a lot more na's out there....

It's not as complicated as you think with the rear clam, the boot has to be separate anyway so you can just have two different boot mouldings and one clam moulding.

Could these clams be available in Carbon Fibre too, or will it make them too expensive. I'm impressed with the effort and the results... Keep up the good work.
