bootlids are different. The thinking on possibly doing the turbo one is that the turbo is more affected by the osmosis/blistering
But then there are more NA's on the road.....Needs a bit more thought

if the turbo clam fits both how about a clam with bootlid which can fit either Might be a stupid idea but ?bootlids are different. I agree the NA boot is somewhat cavernous compared to the tubby but if it was a case of scrap the car or fit a jonny turdo clam with new lid that is suitable on either I think I could live with itNot that I expect it to hold much sway but I'd rather not lose the bigger boot of the NA's clam. If I ever drive the car again, it comes in handy for Le Mans runs.

Yes, that's how they made the original turbo clam, they cut out the boot and bonded in a new one, the bond is poor so it bubbles. The apertures are the same size on the clam are they? I'll have to check that.

Someone confirm please Can you fit a turbo rear clam in an NA if you have a turbo style lid as well or are they different in some other way
You can fit a Turbo one to an NA but not the other way around. The boot is smaller on the Turbo to make room for the er... turbo.

The easiest way would be to mould the whole outer part of the clam (split mould) with a flange around where the 90 degree line is to the boot lid aperture. Remove the fence that creates the flange and mould the aperture. This gives the boot hole piece as a separate part of the mould. Take the big outer part of the mould and drop it onto the other type of clam. Now mould the different boot aperture. Now you can make both clams from the same mould. It just needs the corresponding boot aperture part bolting in. Obviously you'd have to make both boot internal bits separately.

Well apart from that rather large polished lump on top of it.
