I was talking to elise-parts yesterday about road and track setup as I am doing a suspension refresh at the moment, when I asked about front ARB and possibility of a group buy and they are interested. So if you want to put your name down, this is not a commitment to buy, just to collect numbers then it will progress from there. Elise-parts products; 7/8" OD bar - https://www.elisepar...anti-roll-bars/ 1" OD bar - https://www.elisepar...-anti-roll-bar/ 1. siztenboots = 1" ARB

1. siztenboots = 1" ARB
2. Bobby - 1" ARB.

Is there a huge amount of difference in real terms between the two?

If I knew the wall thickness of the tube and the dimensions I could give you an exact answer.

Last weekend while I was checking my springs condition, I removed the driver side front Nitrons. I checked the free movement of the bushes and I could easily move the whole brake and wishbone assembly up and down with the standard blue bar. Obviously this was undamped and it would carry on oscillating itself with the ARB .

iirc , the Mike Pilbeam formula, then stiffness increases with the diameter to a power of 4 , all other things equal

the £72 is because of the special racing red paint

The 7/8 is not an upgrade on thickness over standard, it is only 5 point adjustable the 1" is thicker and adjustable.

I'am right in thinking the adjustable 7/8 allows for a stiffer setup over oem though? Either way I'll have my name on list to see what kind of discount can be achieved. Scabby blue paint doesn't fit with black refreshed suspension 'while I'm there'

Could you just fit one of these bars with little adjustment on other suspension parts?

Fit the 7/8" to a standard set up Billies if you want. Will just be an adjustable standard one. Still a very worthwhile mod for track assuming you want to go stiffer for dry and softer for wet.

Yes as you can change the point of pickup for the drop links.

I have Sachs with the intention of nitron/quantum next year. If the 1" has the same amount of adjustment as the 7/8" one then ill go for that.
