I have a turbo and the heat shield vibrates which is driving me mad, I have tried a few extra bolts but it still makes a racket. Is there an easy fix.

Mount it better, bend it a little... Are you sure its not the undertrays ? Have you check if the lower heat shield has come loose

Or is broken. Mine rattled like crazy until I realised it had broken near one of the bolts.

Heat shield on my NA was always rattling so I put some big blobs of black mastic behind it and its been fine ever since.Mastic can withstand very high temps,we use it on side seals on a bath of molten tin at work.Ok a ghand botch up :lol; but it worked ,maybe not in your application not sure what the turbo is like.

Na heat shield? Is that the several thick bacofoil that is wrapped along bottom of bumper? Mine has an annoying rattle and this could be the fix. Seem to notice mine was damaged.

Yes I put some blobs of mastic under between the clam and the shield, been quiet as a mouse since(two years) The rest of the car is glued together why not the shields

leave the mastic in biggish blobs so even if it comes unstuck from one surface it still acts as a cushion against it rattling.
