Cheers Co-Co. Just a little unnerving. That "hot engine smell" spells "danger Will Robinson" to me! Anyone had any joy with a manual fan switch in the cabin? When I modded 4x4's, we'd whack in 2nd fans or fan upgrades... Anyone done this / worth doing? Ta. Ben.106 is standard for fan kick in. Nowt wrong from what you've said.

Tried that Kenni. I got the upgraded silicone heater mod in mine, so (theoretically) heater woks... But made FA difference!Stuck in traffic, i usually do my bit to help the engine cool is by turning the hot air on full inside. (Yes my hot air heater works )

Probably worse to pull over and switch off at 106 as the temp will rise a bit immediately after switching the engine off!

Or a pikey style switch, if you're that paranoid.Costs next to nothing.

Kind of figured that. Pulled over (engine running) popped bonnet and engine bay, cooled a little, shut off at 92 & allowed to cool further.YeahthatProbably worse to pull over and switch off at 106 as the temp will rise a bit immediately after switching the engine off!
