Well, I have now done my first track day with the National at Pembrey :)

Car felt great... pulled like a train all day and handled sweet.  I still can't get over the grip levels and was taking it easy to be honest (driving within my track experience level!)

Once the car gets track warm, the exhaust makes some rather loud bangs :D ...which I like in a chav kind of way :)

Love the AD08's, albeit I seem to have collected some massive lumps of rubber which I need to peel off at some point.

Appologies, my mistake, it was meant to be a normal smiley, but I put a "o" in it and it came out like that. What I really meant was... :)

Been a while since I updated my project thread...

Since my last update I have done the following:

-Was getting P0420 code thrown up once in a while since the 3" 2Bular was fitted, so removed the Lambda and cleaned the connection up, been fine since (touch wood).

-To fit the 3" 2Bular, MMG had to space the undertray (using washers wrapped in insulation tape) and increase the size of the hole for the flexi joiner.  I bonded some spacers to the tray and tidied up the hole that MMG cut.  Also tidied up the nimbus type backbox heat shield, as again this needed to be cut to fit the exhaust.

-Today I removed the useless and poorly fitting eBay heater pipe and replaced as per the pictures below... retained the sieve modification I did to the ebay kit and all fits lovely now :)

Just caused myself incredible discomfort and hassle... and changed my battery... the old one was 4 years old and starting to lose charge.  I got a Yuasa Silver 5000 (5 yr warranty).

Had to undo the fuse boxes from the arch liner, clip several cable ties, undo the brake servo line, undo heater pipe, remove washer motor shroud, remove washer bottle, remove ctek wires from battery, remove terminals from battery, and generally break myself, hunched over, trying to hold the cables back and pull the f*cker out at an angle.

Then had a bit of a clean...

Then put in the new battery and connected the terminals... car armed its self, beeped at me, then a minute later the alarm went off.  Been out on a little drive, and everything seems fine :)

I've only come across one handle-less battery in the 60-odd heaters i've fitted.

(BTW, takes me about 2 minutes to take one out, don't know what you all complain about)

It has a handle

I must be going blind as well as stupid! When I changed mine I think the handle had either snapped or wasn't there, which is why I had such a strong brain fart about sticking a strap under it.

You've had lots of practice! :P Couldn't believe how quickly you had my battery out after the fun & games I'd had a couple of weeks earlier.

Worked myself into an unfortunate corner through being too busy :(

Needed to swap the cat back in to MOT her at the end of April... didn't start doing it until the end of May.  After some swearing, I've removed the lambda, and 2 bits of exhaust ready for the cat to go in, ran out of time, so here I am mid-June and still not back on the road.  Tax up at the end of June so looks like I'm SORNing her too... and all that at the start of summer.

Must do better.

Hairy... it was easy, but the exhaust is a year old and I'd had the lambda out previously (also relatively easily).  The b1tch was seperating the bits of exhaust... sleved joint, and very snug!  thumbsup
