MOT Passed... No advisories.  Just taxed... :groupjump: rallly

Me - "Has it passed"

MOT man - "It has a page full of advisories"

Me - "OH"

MOT man - "only joking... I can usually always find something... but it's passed with no advisories"

Me - "Wooohoooo"

Drove the VX for the first time in the dry since my MOT yesterday evening and again this morning... It is great to be back... I'd forgotten how quick a stage 2 turbo is ;)

Small update:

Fitted a CG Lock and had a test drive... the fit is a little "amateurish" but it does do the job... so far I like it.

Over the weekend I happened to notice that the o/s/r inboard toe link ball joint was weaping some lube... inspected and found a 5mm cut in the boot. :( Despite the toe link assembly x 2 being less than 18 months old, I have bought new inner ball joints (genuine Lotus), and will replace them pretty soon.

Ripped the dash plates off in readiness for fitting my Shift-I shift light.  In the process of cleaning up the double sided foam tape... definately going to use velcro when refitting!

Also, ordered the bits for a gearbox breather and will fit soon... I have just bought a sheet metal bender/folder so hoping I can make some elaborate and pointless bracket to hang it off :)

One last thing... the tow hook needs to be spaced by washers to get it to play nicely with the diffuser, so I got one spacer (washer) laser cut by a company I found online... awaiting delivery before the verdict :)

...only if your missus cleans it afterwards ;)

Just noticed that the bloody cam to crank breather is weaping again and the jubilees have cut into the silicone... new one on order.

IMO silicone ones can't cope with the heat and you'll probably end up replacing an off the shelf item soon again. I'd recommend buying a proper reinforced oil resistant pipe from a reputable manufacturer. I bought some Goodridge stuff for my turbo oil return pipe (which must get well hot) and it is still going strong after 25k miles.
