Sensor clearance can be tight with a sandwich plate fitted. This is about as well as you can orientate things and on full suspension travel things may get hit. You would be better off taking the feeds from somewhere else.

True but it was not just the bell shaped housing that was the issue. (or non issue in my case)

The Z20LET engine block has an oil gallery take-off point already in it. For OEM setup it has a M14x1.5 blanking bolt inserted into it. You could make a reaplcement M14x15 bolt with a 1/4 NPT thread drilled into the centre of it and install that in the block instead of the OEM blanking bolt. Then directly screw your oil pressure sensor with it's 1/4" NPT into it. The bolt hole is close to and slightly above the oil pressure sensor (ie below and right of the intake manifold). This eliminates the need for an extra sandwich plate.

No worries. I checked the AEM sensor size, as 1/4 npt sounded too big a thread and it looks like AEM use the same "mini" 1/8 npt sensor that came with my Elise Shop gauges, which is much easier to deal with and accommodate in the engine bay.

Is this the correct oil gallery that's been blanked?
