The mention of the VX 490 on another thread got me thinking. What cars do you remember your parents having?

Heres mine:     (The last one - the NSU I wrote off for my Dad when I was 18. He wasn't happy!)

I was only 6 when Dad got his one.

 

Same colour as this with the black vinyl roof too.

 

Seriously cool car when you are 6 and all your mates are being driven around in Austin 1100s. :D

I remember my Dad having some sort of Lancia, and a Jag XJ6. By far the worst memory was the Toyota Tercel my Mum loved:

I can clearly remember the day we went to a Toyota dealership (Run by the Brundle family) to look at Hilux's, and then came away with that thing up there ^

Oh and the purple marina is OK? Actually he had at least three. A purple one. A rust coloured one. And a baby diahorrea coloured one.  I remember that thing backfiring. I shat myself thinking someone was shooting at us :lol:

I loved the maxi, my first car memories were in that car :) 

 

We also had a Opel ascona, proper old passat then we went all modern and got a Renault 11 Boston  B)

Mine had a white Talbot Alpine. I seem to think he thought the aluminium engine was the way forward. It just sounded asthmatic and horrible, if I remember correctly and it didn't last long. I blame it on some form of romantic French influence that having a villa in Brittany inflicted on us.

Ones i remember Dad + family Blue Vauxhall Viva Gold Vauxhall Magnum Orange Fiat Strada Black with red MG Maestro Grey Audi 80 Silver Mazda 626 BRG Rover 618 Blue A4 Silver A4 Black 320 diesel Mum Peugeot 309 MGB GT Mk1 MX-5 Mk2 MX-5 New mini Civic diesel Audi TT Looking back i loved the two MG's....think my mum had the better deal though lol
