My dad had a purple Morris marina.

Oh god, I don't know about dads, but I had one of those :-( 1.8 coupe (not the TC though), finished in hearing aid beige or Harvest Gold as it was known back then. It was 7 years old when I got it, my VX is now 8

So at what point in this thread can we conclude that bad taste in parents cars = bad taste in their kids music taste? ;)

G-Bobs parents rock out tbh

Now that is AWESOME. Still looks stunning even today.

Not got time to dig out all the photos but from memory my dad had something like:

Three Ford Cortinas, one of these was beige

Ford Sierra 2.0l (which I learned to drive in)

Renault 14

VW Beetle mk1!

Two Capris

When I was born he had a Ford Zodiac!

Also, when I was a nipper he had one of these with two deck chairs bolted down in the back for me and my brother to sit in!

In Australia you're either a Holden or a Ford fan, guess which one my old man was :D

Holden HJ Premier, 253/4.2 V8

God I loved this car as a kid, if I had a chance to buy it now I'd snap it up in an instance.

To this day there's a photo on the mantle piece at home of me, my brother and sister the day it was sold with us all in tears!

Holden VK Commodore 3.3ltr six

Usual family sedan, based on the Opel/Vauxhalls from Europe. The original Commodore model (VB) was virtually identical to the European model and couldn't handle the harsh roads in Oz and was common for them to snap in half! :D

Posted Image

Holden VN Calais 3.8ltr V6

Good Points

One of the most successful models Holden made

Won heaps of awards.

Torquey V6 standard

Bad Points

V6 was a from Buick and only used in transverse FWD yank tanks, mounted longitudinally it was rough and droney

Being "all new" there were so many problems, ours went through 3 ECUs in the first year

Posted Image

Holden WH Caprice 5.7ltr V8

This is where it gets interesting. All the kids had left home so they brought a bigger car with dirty big V8!

Identical to this pic, gorgeous colour and perfect for long trips.

Posted Image

Holden WM Caprice 6.0 ltr V8

Lovely car and an astonishingly quick for such a big tank, just don't ask it to do corners to quickly

How bizzare, that car has been parked up around South West London for so long now it's tyres are flat, I pass it almost every week!

My dad and mum could only have a robin reliant 3 wheeler as they both didn't pass their test. Quite embarrassing really but at the time who cared?

I still haven't got the hang of posting pictures, but when I was born, my dad was running around in an ex-builders (his Dad) Austin A35 van. Nothing special about it until the Wallace & Gromit movie came out, since then he's been viewed as quite cool by his grand kids :D

My dad started off with an Austin a 55 Cambridge Still remember him starting it with the handle when the battery went flat every cold night Followed by a ford consul classic , a corsair , cortina then a Hilman hunter and he's still got a bloody rover
