If it is structurally sound, then just get the clam back on. 'Battle Patina' is the new black.

Indeed, apart from the exhaust an wing the rest could be just stuck back together. I'll see how I get on as I'm at Anglesey next Sunday.

Rear screen is in. The hinges are nice and stiff so hold the screen in place well :)
Yes the film is still on the outside.

Filled and sanded and more filler is on now. More sanding once I'm home from work on Thursday.

New wing has arrived. I'm not sure I like it though.

Also, you specify how far apart you want the brackets and they make it.

But look how they've done them at the distance I specified. How the fook am I supposed to mount a straight bracket to that?

Impressive work there, looks great. How did you manage to fit the wing bracket? @Sticky, what wing is it? looks stunning.

Thanks Tonie It's one of these http://www.elisepart...s-rear-spoiler/ With these http://www.elisepart...ar-wing-mounts/ attached to the boot floor through to the subframe so the wing uprights are not pressing on the clam. I have retained the boot rather than chopping huge holes in it. I need it for trackday stuff as I don't trailer.

Touched the car for the first time since May.
I fitted the elise parts anti rattle pads to the edges of the new rc6 I fitted. The old pads were perfect but the new ones rattled like a bitch. Not sure if that'll cure it but we shall see.

Also noticed the inner rear toe link joint had play in it so I need a new one. It's part number JMXL8T searching brings it up as $18 in the states and over £30 here. So need to find a deal for that.

Made the boot lid quick release as it hits the wing when opening. Did it by riviting some spare polycarbonate to the window side of the lid so it slides under the edges of the clam. I'll be replacing the catch with lockable aerocatches when they turn up.

That material is slightly flexible and softer than metal so shouldn't rub the clam as much.

Fitted a new phone holder for filming on trackdays. Happy with it for £6.50

No I'm off on holiday tomorrow. Going to look at my funds when I get back and see if I can get blyton in before the end of the month or something.

Did you know you can hire Blyton for a test day. IIRC its £185 + VAT for half a day (£111 each if the two of us did it). Unlimited clear lapping and you are entitled to time your laps. It's not applicable to road registered cars but I recon yours would pass the criteria.

At that price do they run test days without a full compliment of marshalls etc then. How many people are test days limited too?

I don't know to be honest but if it's anything like the test day I did at Teesside Autodrome there was only one marshall and you needed to have a cage and extinguisher in car. If more people were booked on the day they put on extra marshalls but there is a set fee per person so that covers their wages.

I will call Blyton sometime and ask about the details.

I'll have to find out if just the roll over hoop in the vx counts! I have an extinguisher just need to sort a bracket.

Fitted the new bearing. I can't quite tell if it's adjusted the toe at all as I tried to be accurate. I'll see how the straights the wheel is when I next drive it and adjust it from there. The lockable aero catches turned up.....apart from the fact they weren't lockable. So I've just posted them back. Companies really are sh*t.

Not updated this for a while.

I'm now going racing, so sorting out my ARDS and ordering all the stuff I need for myself and my car to do this, expensive sh*t.

Fitted some Tillett B6F seats, they hold you very well. Got 2 but one will only be fitted for trackdays!

Did Donnington on Mon day for the first time. Managed a 1.25:53 but I'm not sure how good that is as it's quite a fast circuit. The NA feels dead in 4th up the hill and on the back straight.

Did Blyton today, my 4th time there I think and got my time down to 1.12:92 really enjoying pushing the limits of the car now.

Was stuck behind this 380bhp 24 hour race car thing. I have some footage from behind and I tell you no curbs were harmed in the making of the video. I wonder if he had stolen it!

Checked my toe links at lunch and found I'd stretched the nearside so put a new bolt in, it sorted the fact my steering was slightly off centre! Going to order some 10.9 tensile bolts and see how I go.
