If that worried then could phone the dealer and ask if he's seeing it on behalf of someone...

I just have and it's not good news :-( , unfortunately Bob has passed away ;,-(( , the dealer had been contacted by a family friend of Bob and was asked to sell several vehicles .
RIP Bob . Coral Flash , you will be sadly missed by all of the North Westys :-(

Not been on here for a long time, but i like to read up every so often, but i have just seen this http://www.vx220.org...te-anyone-here/ and like nelly, i feel absolutely gutted that this gentleman has passed on.

i first meet him when he turned up to my workshop picking up some scrivets and bits that i managed on a group buy, he had quite an interest in the narrowboats that i build, turns out he had lived on one for a while during the 70's and was quite reminiscent about it. lol

got to say i feel really sad and feel for his close family, just felt that he at least deserves his own thread.

so rest in peace, Bob ...... you really are a gentleman with one cool car rallly

He was a real petrol head and a really nice genuine guy , I spent many a weekend planning North Wales runs with him :-), I can still remember the time we found the road from llan festiniog to creig / Bala purely by accident whilst plotting a route on the map , after we drove it at a rather spirited pace we pulled up laughing our heads off and both said " that's going in the route " !! :-D And it just goes to show that Vxer's come in all different guises , for those who did not meet Bob aka Coral Flash you would have thought you would have seen him behind the wheel of a rover 75 or something of equal standing and never behind the wheel of a Vxt  Rip buddy I will miss you greatly ;-) If any one can dig out a pic from one of the NW runs where plod had pulled everyone over for front plate issues can you please add the one with Coral in shot ;-) ,thanks all :.-)

Very sad news :(

Bob was one of the first .org members I spoke to at Silverstone back in 2009. Gave me a very warm welcome and happily offered his insight, a passenger ride... and numerous rollups!   A proper enthusiast and true gentleman.

You'll be missed, Bob. Thoughts with the family :grouphug:

One of the first ever VX runs I went on shortly after buying mine was a North Wales run organised by Bob. It was particularly memorable because the route he had planned involved us fording a stream !!!!!

A genuinely nice bloke who will be missed.

Thoughts with his friends and family. :grouphug:

Denzle was another for sure and I (hopefully)could be wrong but memory says Cyberface also. Some members( sford/ cocopops maybe?) we're hoping some from here would attend the Hampton Ferry show that Denzle used to organise. R.I.P. to all. Also many went to the funeral of a young lad who died driving a vx. I remember Yellow or Black giving of her time organising wreaths, cards etc.

It does indeed :,-) . Happy times , just remembered another time when out planning another run .... We went down the track from the top of the ponderosa cafe to " Worlds End " which brought us out at a local beauty spot where we found a rather embarrassed young couple in a old corsa ... We pulled up roofs off and got out to check the map and the corsa took off  Both of us laughing our heads off again

I have managed to track down Bob's brother who lives in the USA , I mailed him earlier on and offered the family our heart felt sympathies and condolences on Bob's passing I sent the above pic too . I have just had a reply back from Jock

Neil

Many thanks for the kind email , and I appreciate the photograph and your efffort to reach out .

Yup cars were very much his hobby, and the Vx220 was one of his toys.

If you were interested in the fate of his vx220, that has been sold, I have a cousin in glasgow who is a retired car dealer and still has contacts in the business. With his help all of Bob's cars have been sold.

I do not know how much information you have about Bobs passing . He had throat cancer which finally caught up with him, and he passed away on march 26th  in hospital in Wrexham.

His ashes were scattered at the Horseshoe pass in Llangollen opposite the lay by .

Jock Williams. :grouphug:
