Nice shot but, apart from catching also a potential cracked screen moment, does as well highlight a rather annoying design fault of the vx that even from day one of my ownership, has stumped me as to the stupidity of it (to the point that when i first purchased her, i had quite literally hours of conversations with various vxl departments, sure that they had put my baby together wrongly). I of course, as i'm sure we have all noticed and wondered about it (lol..bet it's only me), refer to the way the grills seem grey on one side of the vx and black on the other, as the direction of the mesh has not been reversed to hold/project a symmetry of colour. I do find (and always have) it extremely annoying and spoiling of an otherwise perfect design.

Well I feel you should have known better , but to put everyones mind at rest (esp MartinS) I actually dont pull myself up, I just rest my hand as I turn..... and if anyone actually watches me I normally crawl out on my hands & knees!!

Lol..you are forgiven then ...
I do actually pull myself forward using the screen but make purchase right at the bottom of it just where it comes in contact with the bodywork (styling wise). I lean my upper body weight sideways toward the open door, raise my skinny backside up off the seat and use the screen to help tip sidewards enough to carry my right leg over the threshold, with my left leg trailing and able to use the grip of the floor plate in front of the seat should it be needed to secure my balance. There is definitely an art to getting out with finesse but it is achievable with practise and suppleness but then i'm quickly approaching 51 (in a few weeks), so sooner, rather than later, my days of getting in or! out will be at an end.

Love the way it shows off the styling of the VX, the way the lines curve out and around the cockpit and back in again. Amazing that a car that looks a little 'boxy' from another angle can have such sweeping curves and lines.
