Hmm, has anyone on here fitted one of these with a Harrop yet?  The one I have here doesn't fit.  Either needs the Harrop spaced up or the sensor may need 'trimming'.....  What's the preferred method then?

Is it just the plug that's fouling? There's a number of different compatible plugs, so maybe a skinnier one would work.

I've not even got the plug on yet.  The sensor itself wont go on....

I've got a 2.5bar (0 261 230 042) and a 3.0bar (0 281 002 437) sensor sat on the desk in front of me and they're both identical for overall size. The only thing that the 3.0bar has, that the 2.5bar doesn't, is that raised hole for the fixing bolt with the bush inside it. The 2.5bar is just a flat basic hole in the base of that section.

You need to mod the sensor mounting and/or fit it without bolt so the Harrop presses it down.

No, you need an aftermarket ECU or the Dutch reflash to remove the built-in speed limiter, by the sound of it.

Its only on private roads that i do them speeds :)  It more to do with the car going into limp mode when hitting them speeds and ive been reading its to do with the map sensor as i know cliffie is having the same problems.

The MAP sensor limp mode isn't road speed related. It's boost related. Like going from a steady state cruise to instant WOT.  That might happen at 50mph or 250mph. Your's sounds like the ECU's built-in speed limiter cutting in.

But yes, in any case, you should get a larger MAP sensor and the remap (or Dutch reflash) to support it.

Hmm, just found another plug connector that's identical to the Tmap sensor plug.  Anyone know what this is..?
