Yes I'm going to do that after GP
That's interesting only put scanguage back in today,
Can you explain moor
Mark Verboom (http://www.verboom.n...ster/index.html figured this out at some point, many moons ago.
May i suggest to clear the code, disconect the scangauge and go for a blast to verify?

Doubt it is the scanguage.
% of succes on scangauge cause is indeed very small, but geeky smiley stores every code and fix he finds on the benelux, german and UK forums into his database.
Scangauge cause has been found more then once on this code.

It's worth checkingDoubt it is the scanguage.

Just quick question Does scanguage in above circumstances cause just faults or cause map sensor to break% of succes on scangauge cause is indeed very small, but geeky smiley stores every code and fix he finds on the benelux, german and UK forums into his database. It can throw a hissy fit to the ecu, generating the code when running more then 3 concurrent values.
It does not kill your map sensor afaik.

Can't see how it can physically break the MAP sensor. It's a software bug in the OBD implementation in the ECU itself that's the problem.Just quick question Does scanguage in above circumstances cause just faults or cause map sensor to break

It's a m62 3.1 pulley charger has some minor porting
Is there a way of working it out or do I need boost gauge
Do you have part numbers and place to get them cheers
Thanks, ordered and installed Torque Pro to my phone.
Hopefully will capture some data
thumbs
You need to bin that MAP sensor and fit the 2.5 bar or 3.0 bar TMAP sensor and do the necessary loom mods to run it and then reconfigure OBDTuner for it.

Part numbers are in the MAP sensor dropdown on the Parameters tab in OBDTuner, or they're both in this thread. Should be stacks of them on fleaBay as they're used in just about every GM car known to mankind.

In order to get added boost values from your MAP sensor, assuming it's measured in kPa as it is on the NA, you subtract 100kPa (which is the background atmospheric pressure) from the absolute reading and then multiply by 0.14503773773020923 (probably don't need that level of accuracy ) to get the actual added boost (i.e. what a boost gauge would display) in psi. Or multiply the kPa figure (less the 100kPa) by 0.01 to get the added boost in bar.
ok
assuming that KPA in the pic is right
180KPA-100KPA= 80KPA
80KPA X 0.145 = 11.6 Psi is this right

which is only 0.8 bar so the 2 bar delphi should be fine unless its not a 2 bar sensor???

But it is dependant on air presure/altitude presure and tempreture
And standard test conditions are only at 25degrees C
And at sea level

Yeah.. You're probablly pretty close to the max on a 2 bar sender.
Normally MAP sensor ranges are indicated/viewed from vacuum, so a 2 bar sender can go from vacuum/-1bar to +1 bar 'boost'..
As the lower end can't move (vacuum remains vacuum ) a 2.5 bar sensor will allow +1.5 bar 'boost' and a 3 bar sensor will read max +2 bar.
But.. As already indicated on another thread by SimonS, once you get close to the upper end of the measurement range then the accuracy tends to drop off.
Bye, Arno.

Cheers for the offer lee but it looks like I'm going have to go to the 2.5 Tmap sensor, Does anyone no if the bosch 0 261 230 042 has the same plug as the Delphi 2.0 barI have a few map sensors here if you want me to send one ?
