Why dont you just get the 2.5bar map sensor they put on stage 2/3 conversions and be done with it?

I would like to get it working first do I know that look etc are ok
I dont understand tbh. If you know its the map sensor why are you trying to get it working? When you can just fit one that will work and then map that one up. (I havent read the thread so there is probably another reason so forgive me)

agree fix the problem first, i.e try the MAP sensor if it does work ok then you can change to a TMAP, if it doesn't get the car running first ok then make changes.

Chill did you log the data while you were having the problem? You will be able to see if the MAP readings go too high. Just select MAP after saving to logged data under the logging tab. It will also let you check all the other sensors and quite a few voltages including the MAP.

Also Smiley said it could be injector connection related and you have recently changed these have they been checked?

Nick did I read somewhere that you had your problems after a high speed run on a private road, Because I was also on a private road going rather fast the day before mine packed up

When we first installed the harrop I had loss of throttle after a high speed run i.e hard acceleration through the gears, I was running about 320bhp on the normal map sensor everyone uses now. This bit will sound strange but once we relocated the IAT sensor further away from the TB I never had the issue again  don't ask me why it worked but it did.

What pulley are you on? (and exhaust?)

That is quite some boost pressure for an M62 SC... Maybe you have a clogged cat?

I remember you had a 3.1 fitted. And ~0.8 bar boostpressure sounds more normal for a Stage 2+ SC.

Your 206KPa reading probably triggers the fault; being a faulty MAP sensor or maybe a clogged exhaust system (cat)...

interesting,

the whine from the charger even happens now when car isnt moving in neutral so maybe the pressure from the cat is causing resistance

There's definitely a blockage somewhere. My M62 generates 13.5psi on a 2.9" pulley and as annoying as the banshee wail is from the small pulley, it only happens on WOT with the engine under load.

Tullett 3.0" system with no cat.
