I'd pay £260 for a set made up without 120 joins and jubilee clips. To many points to fail and leak fluid at high temps and pressure. Cheers for the effort you've put in though.

Sorry that's a bit too much more than I was expecting for me to justify. Really sorry to muck you about.

Surely they will be and that's just a mockup of a hose that doesn't currently exist.

You tell me?! I've seen no evidence of final look or quality. Just these mock ups which I'm assuming is the finished product? Alittle more background on the company and other stuff they produce would force the cash from my wallet.

need 5 more

when we have 15 I can send my hoses off to them and they will give us a price

https://www.viperperformance.co.uk/ btw...

;)

There's a 45 and 90 degree bend of Viperperformance on my current NA inlet duct.

If there's one thing you don't have to worry about, it is quality.

Price is a bit more than I had hoped for but still acceptable as I will require new hoses anyway.

How is this compared to the oem prices?

(I was shocked hearing the price @ the stealer for the radiator hose with breader and ended up buying the way, WAY cheaper silicone hose from Elise Parts)

Sorry for not replying earlier, but my preference would be a main outlet hose in one piece, which is a pain to install as mentioned, instead of introducing two connections with the potention of leaking. Speaking for myself, its not a hose that will be taken off the car regularly.

Who'd like two parts for easy installation could basically cut it where they like?  I hope this can still be changed?  If so, confirmed. :)

it will be one piece guys, that's just the hose I made to get the shape right

that picture is of the OEM hoses (and the hose I made to get the shape right of the SC) that they will use as the template for tooling

The kit will have all those hoses you see in that picture but made from silicone (and without the joins! )

I cant show you the finished product because there is a minimum order of 15 (hence this group buy?)

To buy the OEM hoses from vauxhall would be well over £500 and some of them are over £150 for a single hose...

I'll take bob's place, I've got a leaking front bleed nipple thanks to the MOT place leaving it running so need to drain the system down anyway. But that still leaves us one down

Does the price include new stainless hose clamps.  If not will they do a discount for a set of new ones?

it doesn't include anything but the hoses, but we can probably get a discount somewhere for a quantity, and may have better luck with a supplier other than Viper for those

I can certainly ask though

and as I said earlier we will have to come up with a bleed valve solution too - like the EP bleed hose for the front if anyone knows where the insert is sold?

This might be an alternative.

http://www.revotec.c...ed_Fitting.html

considering the diameter of the hose it's not going to be an easy fit.

Strugling with loose fittings in the relatively small diameter of the hoses, I called  Ivo from Elise-shop.com for his solution on the radiator hoses. He advised me  a better alternative :

Fabricate a small branch in the silicone hose, at the highest point in the bends in our case. Machine some ribs on aluminum or stainless bar to keep it in place in the branch once clamped. Make M4 threaded hole through the bar and close the assembly with a neoprene o-ring under the plug, machined from the same material as the bar. It shouldn't be expensive at a local machiningshop.  Any thoughts or improvements?

I can mesure the Harrop later tonight but I can't compare it to an M62 as I don't have one....

If there is uncertainty then I won't be able to join but I will take some measurements tonight and PM you with them.

Snout position is exactly the same as the M62 for obvious reasons and might actually be slightly narrower (certainly not larger) than the M62. It's the main casing of the charger that's turned into a fat bastard.
