@ Paul, did you buy new springs too as an extra, or is the blue "rfurbisched to 2013 spec"??

@ John T; what's wrong with your fronts? Front has a bracket, so you're very flexible there to get things right.

(I just lowered my front bracket 6mm to get my "325 NTR's" height spot on with a 425lb spring...)

Butthe front had a very limited stroke .

Aren't the new specs better on this field ?

Sorry, should have been clearer, yes I had new springs put on since, on testing, one of the fronts had weakened

OK, before we all go and proclaim the second coming etc...

I still don't see in plain numbers exactly what is being proposed here?

Way I see it is this, all the ones out there are either 395 or 402mm open length (pre/post 2010?)

In an ideal world, these need to be all changed to make them 430mm open length (or there abouts).

is this what is being proposed?

Please Simon, I started this thread to get away from you. We're doing fine without you so unless you have something positive to add could you confine your comments to the other thread.

Oh do give it a rest and just answer the question can't you?

the last thread only got to 20+ pages cause your refusal to (1) see the problem and (2) accept there was something wrong.

Now you appear to be trying to act the hero all of a sudden....

Why cant you just be straight and honest about it all? your expecting people to spend yet more money, they have a right to know EXACLY what is being proposed don't you think?

ie.

'we are looking to get some new longer end eye's made up that will take the open length to XX mm, these will cost £X,

this will allow you to run anything from X-Y mm ride heights (based on std wheels/tyres)

if you don't already have tender springs, then your ideally going to need some (with separators) at a cost of £X'

see?

how hard is that?

Yet again the only person with a problem is Simon.... The people effected are happy with the progress and the focus so I'm not going to get dragged into another one of your rows. This thread does not concern you.

lol.. it's nothing personal, more a case of lack of transparency and the simple risk of people getting tucked up yet again. i feel like this whole saga has been a case of dragging jimmy along kicking and screaming. the other thread could have been sorted in 2-3 pages without the blanket denials and sales patter...

Depends what the open length solution is.... I'd say you're on the cusp.... Probably around 58mm of droop (at wheel) from -15mm ride height.... So nowhere near the issues the 395's have but not amazing.

Jimmy - no I've not measured them yet. for that the vx would have to be moved and I cba after work. it's coming out on Sunday for a meet so will get me ruler out then.

I'm probably similar to JG's so depending on what the solution ends up bringing them to then I'd go for it when they next need servicing - hence my question of would Nitron do this in say 2 years (for example) when they next need a service.

I'd be keen on option 2 as I've been intending a refurb anyway. I shall probably want new (and different) springs also.

Matt Bentely mentioned that he's been talking to Nitron about a solution too. How does this fit with that? Is it the same thing?

Option 2 for me too, but what about the valving  if i don't have the springs rates usually coming with the Nitrons specs ?

I think Matt was looking at manufacturing a solution with Nitron but I'm not exactly what's going on with that.....

Whenever people want a refurb then I'm sure it'll be ok.  I'll make sure it's setup with my new contact within the business.  It's not time to go yet though guys, just bear with us a little longer and I will come back with some firm options etc :)

Given the age like Sizten said it seems most people are due a refurb anyway so the solution should be free :)
