Mine need refurbing anyway so I may aswell take up the refurb offer. I am wanting to replace the springs too though. I do to know what the present rates are but feel that maybe they are a little too stiff. What would be a good rate for a set up biased towards track use but suitable for say 30% road use.

 

I ran my old VXR on 450/600 and that was great on track and good for runs to Le Mans and such like

That said I doubt your current springs are as stiff as that....  Who specced them?

if that were the case, why is it still coming up on the board then with people asking what the solution is and when?

 

Look, anybody that actually goes to the effort of reading back should be able to understand what the sequence of events is here, if you want to start throwing accusations and rock at people just maybe you might take a step back, and look at who has dragged this out over several months now, first with flat denials that there is a problem, and then pontification and in-action about resolving it.

 

if it were not for his dogmatic attitude in denial etc, this would have been a whole lot easier all round, as it is we have no clear idea of exactly what Nitron are going to make, when it will become available, etc.

 

it's to the point that quotes have been got for making said parts outside of Nitron to try and short cut the process.

 

in all of this, Jimmy has added NOTHING useful to the process, what he has done is bleat on about Gaz/Quantum and how great Nitron 48's are, all of which is totally irrelevant for the guys with NTR's.

 

there becomes a point where people need to take responsibility for the information (and dis-information) in their posts.

These would all be fair points IF Jimmy was part of Nitron but as far as I know he is nothing more that a retail outlet and a small one at that. Just exactly how much clout do you think he has at dictating company policy, design and production scheduling? Are you suggesting the ties go deeper because that is the implication. As for Jimmy adding NOTHING to the process, who else has been liaising with Nitron on our behalf and who is keeping everyone on here advised, Hofmanns? Seriously Lotus? ELISE PARTS? They all sell Nitron dampers and as far as I know it's ONLY Jimmy actively trying to resolve the issue, although I'm happy to be corrected on this point if wrong. So the real question is what is your agenda in all this, we appreciate you pointing out the problem but if your only goal is to see the issue resolved for us poor idiots who got sucked in by the hype why aren't you pressurising other retailers or Nitron direct?

Yes, all roads lead to Nitron, however, there are people trying to get this progressed that are not on a forum every 5 mins going on about how great they are.

I stand corrected but stating that Jimmy has done nothing is idiotic and obviously nothing more than a personal attack. We all get it, you don't like him, now move on It's this sort of think that makes you a laughing stock You still haven't answered my previous question, why do you keep commenting on this when you have nothing further to add, what exactly is your agenda here?

Apologies for quoting myself but you obviously need reminding of the question I asked

So the real question is what is your agenda in all this, we appreciate you pointing out the problem but IF YOUR ONLY GOAL IS TO SEE THE ISSUE RESOLVED FOR US POOR IDIOTS WHO GOT SUCKED IN BY THE HYPE WHY AREN'T YOU PRESSURISING OTHER RETAILERS OR NITRON DIRECT?

So why do you have to have an agenda? this is why it looks like you've got a hidden agenda. IF you're being altruistic as you state why are you only banging on at Jimmy, why aren't you doing the same to the other retailers who would have far more clout.
