No probs... like most things -even owning a vx its a "want" rather than an abolute "need" thing, and peolpe put there stamp of the cars in their own way ( coming from the kit car scene I "need" to add something LOL )
You are right a scan gauge would do the job, but....
I would really like to fit an oil press and temp gauge - partly (mainly?) as I'm a gauge tart and partly because I like the ease of reading with analog gauges, and with the idea of doing track days I 'd like to keep an eye on things.
I don't really like the look of scan gauge type lcd displays (personal thing), even though it might be a bit better than the standard. There are one or two other OBD2 type 52mm gauges around which can read water temp, but again they have a digital display ( without buying, i'm unsure of readability) or cost an absolute arm and a leg.
So its a question of weighing up the options, if there was an easy place to fit a sender ( and I confess, can't see one atm ) then that would be a good econoimcal solution. If I can't so it I might chance my arm on an OBD2 type deive (but prob still 52mm).
Thx for the interest tho.
