Looking for a diffuser which provides minimal visual impact with performance. Any suggestion which diffusers would fall into that bracket appreciated. This one from TAT Concept looks like its ploughing the field :P

Diffusers don't make that much difference on the VX to be fair. If you want subtle, TAT short it is.

With this in mind, standard is what you want ;)

I'm afraid to get performance you need the diffuser to stick out some way behind the car. The MMG and Jimsan stick out a little bit and might give a tiny bit of difference at 100+ mph. I have a Jimsan and felt that the rear didn't have quite as much lift at those speeds on track and felt a little bit more stable when driving on the nurburgring, but we are not talking significant amounts. So it's mainly cosmetic.
At speeds less than that then it is pure cosmetics IMO.

Edit to add, my car is also lowered. On a non lowered car there would be even less effect.

Ok so it looks like the tat concept short rounded in black is the best cosmetic option with minor, if any, performance.

to be honest, if you want minimal visual impact I'd leave it as it is. The diffuser really don't have any function when mounted at such rake and height.

I think if the vx was released in 2013 it would of come with a tat short style diffuser IMO as it looks oem

It would also come with a 1.6 L engine but I don't see anyone rushing to fit one of those.

If I was gonna buy a tat short, I'd get one of the black powder coated ones with trimming from JG

Obviously it makes oil changes more complicated....

Though an oil change suction pump would rectify that issue.

No, oil access panel is on the main undertray not separate rear diffuser section.
