And that was the laymans version...
If you look at my gallery lin beloe, you will see some pics Peter @ OBDT sent me on the additional parts required to run the Saab engine with the Z22SE ECU.
Basically:

That is a good price! I was going to suggest these guys as well, but shipping would be extra.

Anyone know the estimated running in time for one of these (or similar) Ecotec engines?

I think we are going to change crank so we will be using original z22se wiring and no external trigger wheelAnd that was the laymans version...

Is the Z22SE crank compatible with the B207 rods? Its also heavier than the B207 crank, and possibly, not as strong..? I also read somewhere you have to clearance the block, but I'm maybe thinking of something else...

Check the specs of the B207E/L pistons. I've just been through the Saab WIS (their version of the EPC) and the E/L pistons are a totally different part number to the 9.5:1 pistons in the B207R. As the E/L runs a low pressure turbo (instead of the higher pressure turbo in the R), they might be higher compression pistons or different alloy.

Ignore my previous post if you're planning on changing the pistons anyway. I'm doing the exact opposite and moving to a standard B207R bottom end, specifically to get away from nasty cheap'ish Wiseco aftermarket pistons and their drawbacks and return to OEM quality. We up dating the rods and pistons as a minimal
